  1. Correa had a .900 OPS as recently as last last season. I wouldn't write him off just yet. And it's not like the Twins are going to reinvest the money. Now they're paying him to play for Houston. Wonderful.
  2. Made sense? There isn't one single solitary position player who will help this year or next. Most likely not in 2027 either. James Outman? Roden?
  3. Concur 100 percent. This is a travesty. This is a complete break with fans' faith. A pox on their house.
  4. ? Houston is not a fourth place team. And they'll contend next year too. Like alwaysn
  5. Rob Manfred should have had the stones Bowie Kuhn showed and put a stop to this. This isn't MLB.
  6. 1. Byron Buxton 2. Pablo Lopez End of list. Rent, dont buy, Pablo
  7. I bet there's a Pohlad or two who can.
  8. I fully expect the day to be capped by Houston rejecting Correa's medicals and Correa to be the Twins starting SS Friday night in Cleveland.
  9. Falvey: "oh yeah? Burning this ****** to the ground on the way out the door."
  10. When Seth ",Nary a negarive word" Stohs says "not an exiting return...
  11. Hold firm like you did with Painter and Philly!!!
  12. Harrison Bader isn't young. Durable I guess, even if this will only be his second season of 100 gsmes played since 2021. He'll be controllable this winter. I hope to hell they dont spend money on him though. They're not contending next year and Bader has no place on a non contender.
  13. We're really going with the theory the Twins traded Duran because he was due ~$8M next year? I'm down on this franchise but even I don't think they're THAT cheap. They paid Harrison Bader almost that. Vazquez MORE than that. Its only about $3M over MLB average salary. Well within ANY reasonable 2026 budget. Geez.
  14. Well, You know Rocco's motto: "Anybody can play anywhere!"
  15. That will take the better part of an afternoon
  16. ...my high school dating career Frustrating, but I keep trying
  17. 90 percent of Twins fans are unaware of any of this.
  18. Agree, with the caveat someone in A ball or lower really has no business being ranked as the #3 prospect in baseball. I mean, its all just opinion, and IMO prospects in general are wildly overvalued, but ranking an 18 or 19 year old in A ball is just too difficult to have much meaning. If they're really the 3rd best player in the minors they should be playing in the majors.
  19. Agreed, with the caveat I dont have to agree this was the best deal available, nor that if it was, there was some imperative still in place to sell Duran. It'd be malpractice not to sell expiring contracts this deadline. On a massive scale. Sell, sell, sell. Sell at a discount, if necessary. But that's not Duran. Or Jax. Or Stewart. Ryan. Sell sell sell those guys only at a profit.
  20. I also think Correa is a pretty strong bounce back candidate. He has lost range but he is still a very dependable SS. And I think he's a better hitter than he's shown this year. Get out from under the entire contract? Sure. But that's not happening and it makes zero sense to pay him to play for someone else.
