    I'm glad we stole a W. But...We gave up a run in the top of the 9th in a 1-0 game...and neither Duran nor Lopez had left the bullpen. That's just bad managing.

    Concur. But Urshela just doesn't move the needle. Like someone said above, he's a 3rd Baseman on a 2nd division team. Somebody has to play there. Miranda might not be the answer, but it's worth a shot. He's got upside.

    I'll be pretty surprised if they try to make Duran a starter again, and hugely disappointed. Don't mess with success.

    I'm assuming he'll get the start Tuesday in Houston.

    We'd all like to think so, but to date there isn't much if any difference between the 3 on offense. In fact Kepler has outhit Kirilloff in 2022. And both Kirilloff and Larnach are worse defensively, although I don't put much stock in the importance of corner OF defense. I know there are potentially injury reasons, but it's not clear, to me at least, those are the cause. Or in the case of Kirilloff, something we can assume will resolve. For me at least, neither have proven they're the answer to anything.

    I'm not sure I was ever the one on the unreasonable side of expectations. But I hope I'm proven wrong, and we get some reliably above average pitching next year beyond Duran. I'd rather not put all our eggs in that basket though.

    Seriously? The "pitching pipeline" propaganda was cool I guess, but it's long past time to give that up.

    You could try it the old fashioned way... listening to one of the 2 Mankato stations on the Twins radio network (AM 1420 or FM 102.7). You can purchase a portable AM/FM radio on Amazon for as little as $10. I doubt there is anyone in MN, or much of ND or SD, who can't listen to the Twins free. If there are, MLB radio is $20/yr, and you can stream Corey and Dan anywhere in the world where you have an internet connection. Edit: ninja'd

    Also, the offense is just...offensive. I can't even remember the last time Correa got a big hit.

    Close call, but I'd also vote Miranda 1, Duran 2. But it's close. Duran has been very important to this team.

    Heh. Detroit led Cleveland 4-2, bottom 8, 2 out nobody on. Strike 3 on next batter to end the inning...except the catcher let the ball go to the backstop, batter safe at first. Innumerable bloops, walks, errors, and silliness later, 6-4 Cleveland. Sigh...

    Nice win, great job bullpen. But... I Really don't understand how Mahle was left in into the third inning. I don't even understand how he started the game. Obviously something wrong from pitch 1. And it had to be obvious during warmups. Pitchers aren't just randomly off 5-7 mph.

    Well anything's possible. Except Judge or Turner signing with the Twins.

    The only way any of these players are with the Twins next year is if Correa opts in. And that's unlikely. At best. Not impossible, but unlikely.
