  1. I don't think they ever actually said anything about the TV revenue. I'm sure that was in ownership's mind, but I don't recall them ever saying it. Joe Pohlad said he was "right sizing" the business. EDIT: The above is incorrect. Pohlad did, indeed, mention the TV contract uncertainty when he said the Twins would be "right sizing."
  2. "Game over." "Waddaya mean, game over? It's only 3-0. Your comment lacks credibility." "How about now?" "It's only one game."
  3. But thankfully, not the deputy.
  4. Hell of a pitchihg plan this offseason, Thad. Well done.
  5. mlb.tv is wonky tonight. skipping all over the place. I've been back to seeing the bottom of the 1st 3 times now.
  6. His sarcastic comment lacks credibility??
  7. They are, but that's way more on bad play by the Twins than good by the O's.
  8. 0-2 RBI hit. To the GD 9 hole hitter. JHFC. Also, Margot is really impressive, isn't he?
  9. You know the Twins are in panic mode when a rehab stint for someone injured in spring training lasts 3 days in A ball.
  10. Twins call up Baltimore and offer Byron Buxton for Cedric Mullins. Mullins is making $6.25M this season, one more arb year in 2025. What does Baltimore say? (Other than "Doesn't Buck have a no-trade??")
  11. That slash line comes in 3 games, 14 PAs. He certainly might need more time to get his timing down, but basing his callup (or non-callup) on a 14 PA slash line is ... iffy.
  12. Well we know who to blame if he does.
  13. I didn't mean that statement as any kind of defense of the front office
  14. This lineup can't be right. No Santana??!?
  15. The Twins didn't want Varland in the rotation, they wanted Desclafani.
  16. I'll be shocked if Bowman isn't DFA'd before tonight's game.
  17. Yeah, I heard you the first time. Might be just me, but I wouldn't let my editor write my content, under my byline. But if I did, I wouldn't throw him/her under the bus later for what's published under my byline.
  18. Concur. If Farmer isn't on this team to play SS why did they spend $6m on him? Just one more very questionable decision in an offseason full of them.
  19. Huh? This is literally the first 2 sentences of your article: "The Twins ... traded second baseman Jorge Polanco to Seattle on Jan. 29. The team got quite a haul..."
  20. So your theory is the Twins made no move to add a starter this winter? Nonsense. They traded Polanco for a starter. Period. The only starter added. The fact he's a ****** one changes nothing. He was slotted for the rotation the moment they agreed to the deal. And he's the one piece of the deal the Twins insisted on getting back: a starter. One last time: the Twins DO NOT MAKE THE TRADE if they don't get a starter in return. That makes DeSclafani the primary return. They just got beat, badly, in the trade. They blinked. "Well no, Thad. We can't give you one of THOSE starters. But how about THIS one, and these shiny trinkets?"
