  1. Did it fall between Trout and 2nd base, or between Trout and the CF wall?
  2. Well thanks for sharing...but how old are you?
  3. S'pose they're bitching about taking called 3rd strikes on Angels Daily?
  4. JHFC Bowman. The one thing you can't do is walk a guy and bring the tying run to the olate.
  5. Nobody, ever, has "earned the right" to give up on a ball he can catch. However, I don't think he gave up on anything. The ball simply beat him. It happens.
  6. *Behind him. The ball was hit over his head
  7. If I'm doing math correctly, that's a 1.000 batting average!!1!
  8. That can't be right. Seems like way more
  9. Jeffers has really turned himself into a good big league hitter.
  10. Sylvester Stallone, Jean Claude VanDamme, and Arnold Schwarzenegger are sitting around discussing casting for their upcoming musical. Stallone: "I'll be Beethoven." VanDamme: "I'll be Mozart." Schwarzenegger: "Nope. Forget it."
  11. I gave up on Rocco last year. Started a thread, even.
  12. I believe that's twice now. Good grief indeed.
  13. Don't be ridiculous. Rocco would never pick numbers from a hat. This is the Twins. I'm guessing he uses a random number generator app on his phone. Which probably then goes through some other app to auto-populate the digital lineup card, on a 3rd app. He emails it to the home plate ump. After spell check, of course. He's probably already got the 5th inning PH notated on the scorecard.
  14. Adley Rutschman caught 110 games last season. Cal Raleigh 128. Those are games at catcher, not DH or another position. Rutschman played 154 total. I can go on. Standard fulltime workload for a catcher has traditionally been 110-120 games. That's still the case today, if you have a number 1 catcher and injury doesn't cut into playing time.
  15. (Farmer)...generating an RBI while doing a Javier Báez impression on Wednesday... I can't believe I need to say this--in a TD article no less--but a hitter isn't given an RBI on a WP or PB.
  16. While It'd be nice to get Jeffers behind the plate more, there really isn't much for bats to DH. So the net effect is, someone of Vazquez's caliber is in the lineup either way.
