    I'd agree Correa was the 2024 Twins MVP. This is also a rather stark and depressing depiction of the mediocre talent on this team.

    The Mets sold for $2.4B in 2020 and are currently estimated to be worth $2.9B per Forbes. So yes, they're worth roughly twice what the Twins are worth.     I don't think there is even a small chance the family is losing cash on an annual basis. Of course, unless you're a Pohlad, neither of us know for sure, since they don't open their books.     I'd venture to guess there ISN'T a buyer already "on the hook." If there was that would have been announced. I'd also venture to guess their "legacy" is low on the list of considerations for selling. For one thing their legacy is already written. For another, profit has always outweighed other considerations. Why would that change when they sell?

    If the goal is to improve the 2025 Twins, this is a horrible idea. BTW, Alcantara isn't anywhere near the 27th rated prospect except on Fangraphs. Top 100 is more accurate. And finding a good defensive centerfielder who can't hit is child's play. Shouldn't cost you your best best bullpen piece.

    Neat trick. Pick 2 FAs who fit your narrative and ignore the rest. How about $30m for Seth Lugo and Michael Wacha? You think KC is in the ALDS without that expense? Or Blake Snell for $15 in 2024 and three decent relievers instead of loading up on minor league free agents and waiver claims?

    Rocco hamhandedly coughing up that game in Texas was the turning point of the season. Many other things contributed, of course, but that epic collapse was the pivot point.

    The Twins can't afford needed pitching, much less spend anything on a backup centerfielder who likely won't be worth it anyways. The Twins would have been better off this year just skipping the Margot fiasco. Live with as much as you can get from Buxton and use your minor leaguers if he's hurt. That means Buxton plays virtually every day or is IL'd. Use whatever payroll they have to upgrade the front line, rather than the backups.

    This defense of Rocco is as poorly written as Rocco's management. "Vocal minority?" "It became obvious meaningful change was needed .... would Rocco be the scapegoat"? How would needed meaningful change be a scapegoat? His calm demeanor is "exactly what's needed for a long season"...which has ended in utter collapse twice in three seasons? And which has sputtered to a weak postseason when he did manage to get there? Dedend Rocco, sure. Have at it. But this collection of unsupported claims, flat out embellishments and platitudes? LOL worthy.
