  1. My version, yup! Wait a sec, which one is she again? http://www.ifitshipitshere.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/01/Snickers-Danny-Trejo-as-Marcia-Brady-IIHIH.jpg
  2. Well, a chance to start over for Arcia. I hope he takes advantage.
  3. I've been disappointed in Kepler's defense. Maybe it's still jitters, but he just doesn't seem to have the arm strength you'd expect from a right fielder. Of course, I may have a tainted view from seeing Sano's arm out there. Trades? Depends on how much confidence you have in the Twins relief pitcher prospects, is one thing. I'm a "keep" on Nunez. Need a backup plan if the "promote from the MiLB" is THE plan. With that backup plan, I'd feel more comfortable trading both Dozier and Plouffe. There's some value there. And I'd certainly would be dangling Grossman out there. I'm a "curious" on Suzuki. Is the new bat really the reason for his recent offensive surge or a dream? Is there realistically a catcher in the system that can provide both good offense/defense? Are the MiLB starters really as good as people say or just a MiLB-style mirage? I'm on the side of a 2 year plan. Start selling to get more higher prospects in the lower levels, preferably a 1-2 AA quality. Start playing some of those AAA stars on a regular basis in the MLB. Just don't keep playing them all the time and beat them down. Short term free agent signings, only.
  4. My rule of thumb for signing FA relievers: never more than 2 years. 2 yrs with options? OK. After some success last season, I would have found it difficult to add large payroll in limited use areas, like a bullpen.
  5. Who is this Sazuki guy?
  6. Been saving this one for awhile, eh?
  7. Marcia naked. I was always waiting for that. Stinkin' TV censors......
  8. I don't have a voodoo doll build manual. But I bet 70chargers groin could be a good start.
  9. The twist is in his front foot: he plants the left foot and twists it in the dirt. It's a pitch recognition thing: he's getting fooled. In theory, the hesitation with a leg kick would at least lessen that problem. And a lunge into the ball for a better, quicker swing. IN THEORY It's all really disappointing. When Buxton was called up this time, he seemed like he was improving some each game.
  10. When he was called up this time, he had a nice, quiet "leg kick". Nothing big, just better timing. In this last AB, it was all over the place, including that weird, twisty thing, he's done in the past. He just doesn't seem to retain things. Not good.
  11. oop, see what Buxton is doing with his front foot again ?? keeps changing
  12. Thanks for posting that. It's kinda what I've always said/questioned: is the perceived value of Twins a player the same as what others see?
  13. So, question on trading Suzuki. Actually, this is probably a question ever since they signed Zuke: Who's the replacement as starter? Murphy, Centeno? Or how do the Twins shop for someone better? There are a couple of valid, internal replacements for Plouffe at third, so maybe his trade can garner a MiLB catcher with bigger upside? Kurt Suzuki is not my 'dream come true' as a catcher. Maybe the new bat is "driving" his offensive Renaissance? No matter, there's still the defense which is "serviceable". Is there a wiling trade partner?
  14. The question I've always have had is: Is anyone really calling the Twins? Example: 2 days ago, MLBTR posted an article that included: "Third base remains arguably the biggest area of concern for New York". Do we know if Alderson contacted Ryan? It would seem to me that Alderson would have at least tried kicking the tires....
  15. Injury usually tips the scales. Especially if the other team is in a pennant race.
  16. I watched the reruns on Kinetoscope.
  17. Suzuki is famous. He's on the front page of axebat.com. Well, it's a copy of a twitter post.. http://axebat.com/
  18. Are your really old if you remember this? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KtBGG49T50E
  19. Sad to say, Adam Morgan's stats look very Twin-ish.
  20. Proof?? You've been on Twins Daily long enough to know better ;-)

  22. Walter Johnson! 12 seasons with 20+ wins for the Washington Senator. Because this generation of pitchers totally blows. That, and you didn't specify this year
