    The infield is back and they're conceding the run. The ball is hit to the middle infielder. That's an automatic go EVERY time. Problem was, it was a short-hopped line drive so Joe had to hesitate a second. But even then, he should still get there. Can't discount the throw Goins made though and the tag Montero made.

    For a guy that should have so much promise, Vargas just isn't a very smart hitter at the plate. But at least Bux is keeping his hot streak going and they got a run out of that threat. Hopefully the 3 LOB and Mauer thrown out at the plate doesn't haunt them later.

    I don't think I've ever seen a runner thrown out at the plate from that deep of shortstop on a routine grounder. COME ON JOE, GET THE ROCKS OUT OF YOUR POCKETS!

    I know this bullpen is terrible....but what in Molitor's mind thought that bringing Curtiss back after last night would be a good idea? If you want to keep a 1-run lead, you use Hildenberger. Naturally, Curtiss starts with a leadoff walk on 4 pitches and those never end well. If this team misses the WC, it's going to because they have had a bunch of garbage in the pen and a manager that hasn't been able to work it well enough.

    AN ESCOBOMB!!!! I can see why Estrada's numbers have been terrible the last 2 1/2 months. A lot of meatballs getting tossed up there.

    This Players Weekend business is a joke with the majority of the uniforms that are out there for this. The Yankees looked like beer-league softballers in whatever it was they were wearing last night. The Brewers and Padres had this garish yellow in their uniforms that you don't find anywhere else in their color scheme throughout the year. The Twins had more of an orange tint than red in their jerseys (though the hats did appeal a little bit). I'm neutral on the nicknames or the socks or the two-tone bats or the custom shoes...don't care about those, though the Yankees should NEVER have names on the back of their jerseys. I know I'm not the demographic that MLB is trying to reach by doing this but it still looks pretty sophomoric. OK, rant over....Kill Canada.

    Unless it's breakfast, McD's is so inedible to me anymore. If I have to go fast, I'd prefer a sandwich shop or a chicken place like a chic-fil-a or zaxby's (two southern staples).
