  1. I'd be interested to read the article about the blue wahoos, but that link just goes to a local news site about the rainout. Can you fix? Thanks for the report.
  2. Just a quick question: how are there multiple "generational" talents within the same generation? We hear that term in each sports' draft like every other year.
  3. @tobi0040- sorry quote isn't working on mobile. It's not really an issue of being concerned for the Twins saving money. I mean, I couldn't care less about the Pohlads bottom line either. But the point is, save a little cash and get multiple terrific prospects, and deeper in the draft, than one phenomenal one. Unless you are being facetious, in that case ignore the above.
  4. I suppose I can't relate how Stewart has great stuff. He's never struck many out, and now can't find the strike zone. I mean, I know the guys still youngish, but he smells an awful lot like a bust. How do you salvage a guy like this?
  5. I haven't followed all this DaveW stuff. Is he full of it or just have bad info? Perhaps legit info that the brass isn't acting on? I've been in forums with this type of junk, I guess time will tell. I tend to be extremely sceptical of some guy on the internet with a source. Anyway, I doubt a Dozier deal gets done this offseason.
  6. This is a nice signing. I mean for those complaining about the price, you gotta stop living in like five years ago. ~8 mill a year is peanuts for teams today. If he were to be dreadful, it's not like that is a huge millstone. Also, people saying, yeah but we're not ready to contend. Spare us. You have to walk before you run. This is how you build. Draft, free agency, trade, etc. Can't have all youngsters.
  7. Is lack of walks a concern with someone like arraez when he is hitting everything he sees? It doesn't seem like he needs to walk. You made the point that he isn't striking out either, which is great. I suppose I'd be interested in his babip and hear if it is sustainable with his approach. Whatever the case may be, it's terrific to see him continue with his season's success!
  8. How can Palka have taken three walks and his on base equals his batting average?
  9. Wow, it seems like Diaz will have to move pretty quickly and consistently to not burn all his options in the minors. As we've seen, we need some of those option years for them to figure it out in the mlb. Hope he works out.
  10. 15 K's for Rochester last night? I thought Buxton only had 6 plate appearances.
  11. Seth, what does Niko Goodrum's future look like? Is he a career minor leaguer with all the other options at his position? He just seems to plug along year after year earning a promotion here and there. Does he follow Jairo Rodriguez and James Beresford, topping out at Rochester? Thanks for the report!
  12. I am of the opinion to tank and tank hard. Mediocrity is so dangerous and to think any late season momentum carries over to next year is silly. Being horrendous has so many possitives attached to it. For instance, being so putrid FINALLY dislodged TR from the gm seat. Being ratty will give us our (hopefully) last super high draft pick. It will increase pool money, it brings about change. If youre going to do something, do it really great or really horrible.
  13. Kepler started in Fort Myers last year??! What an awesome year and a half for him. He really looks to have figured some things out. Also good to see Lamonte Wade back in action.
  14. I don't think power will ever be part of his game. I've seen Seth say that he is a tiny dude. He may just be a BA fueled guy. If he doesn't walk, he will be exposed when he goes up a level or two. Hopefully he can learn to take a few BB's, otherwise he'll be infielder Ben Revere.
  15. While it's nice to think other teams' GM's will look at "a couple good games" and want to trade for a player, that's not really how it works. GM's can look at track record and such just as easily as we can. Not every front office is the DBacks. Milone will fetch nothing at the deadline no matter what he does until then. The only MLB player we have that may fetch anything at all may be Abad, and don't count on JR to capitalize on him. He is of the buy high sell low school of investing.
  16. As much as we see Granite in these reports, his BA is 280 and OPS 711. Can he be a useful mlb player with those kinds of numbers? His obp is decent. I think he needs a bit of gap power to really improve. Also seth, do you think leblanc has the stuff to enjoy his previous success from low a?
  17. haha, I wasn't commenting on your article. The quote function wasn't working on my phone at the time and I was referencing diehardtwinsfan one post above.
  18. diehardtwinsfan, on 07 Jun 2016 - 05:44 AM, said: Chargois' sample size is getting a bit bigger. Got to think he gets promoted within the next couple of weeks. Well, for Chagois, I think you made a typo. He should definitely get promoted in the next couple seasons.
  19. Should we be talking about Jason Wheeler as more of a prospect? He is putting up similar numbers to Gonsalves, Stewart et al at AAA.
  20. It seems like Wheeler is having a bit more success and striking out more batters this year than last. IIRC he got demoted last year? Has he had a change in approach this year to make him more effective? If he can find consistency he may become another starting candidate at some point as if the twins didnt have enough kids needing a shot at the majors.
  21. First off, thanks for putting the names with the pics. I had asked for that like a year ago and it's always so helpful. Whats impressive is Wade's isoD. Not spectacular but respectable especially for someone whose bat is so hot. Those numbers for the pitchers are sexy! Geez. Thats something to be excited about. Also surprised to see Wheeler's k/9 tick up at the start of the season here. I wonder where that will be in another month.
  22. How are Blankenhorn and Cabbage doing so far this season. I haven't noticed their name in any reports yet. Are they cold, or at EST? I was intrigued by their selections last year, I hope they have some success.
  23. Hey Guys - Can you tell me if you think Trey Vavra is a legit prospect? I believe he was injured for most of the second half last year iirc. Seems like the kid just hits whenever he is healthy. What about Luis Arraez? He's been a staple in these reports so far this year. I remember Seth wrote that he has been sticking around possibly until short seasons start. What's his profile?
  24. Would somebody explain to me why a college team can score four off of pro players? It is always so surprising to me to see that. I realize that they're young EST players but thay are also the most elite that high school and college has to offer with a season or more of pro ball and training. Would they score similarily off of the higher level squads?
  25. Anyone know where Palacios has been? He was such a mainstay in these reports. Is he ice cold, injured, or secret option #3?
