  1. When Royce lewis’s Line gets pushed back to 5 and Kiriloff’s to three, you know some guys were bringing the thunder! Holy bananas did this group have a month!! Keep mashing boys.
  2. Tyler Wells looks to be a very deserving winner, congrats! Thanks for the write up. Also encouraging is the fact that for the most part these are not high draft picks.
  3. Quote won’t activate on mobile for me, but thanks chamoman for the reminder!
  4. Could someone remind me of this. I seem to remember the twins signing a minor league catcher this offseason who literally never strikes out. What was his name and how’s he doing? Also, it must feel awesome for Kiriloff to come in after a year and RIP IT UP. Guy can’t be stopped! Finally, remember when Royce had like no power and now he’s up to 20 doubles??! I like that kid. Good day on the farm.
  5. To add to the Rooker comment, this night raised his average 11 points up to a respectable .271 and just 10 points off his season average for last year. As he continues to get a better handle on AA, he really needs to get that 5:1 k:bb rate tilted the other way. Still someone I’m excited about!
  6. I am so excited about Kiriloff. I’m not one who cares tooo much when he gets promoted, just that this kid is absolutely mashing! Love this pick. One no hit game in the last like, what, month?? As for the top prospect roundup format, I know some like the full listing, but I liked the old way. If the prospect wasn’t listed I just assumed he had the day off. Just my $.02. Thanks Seth!
  7. Thanks for the feedback on Enlow. Youth considered, it would be nice to see him take a step. He’s one to be excited about I think.
  8. Does anyone know how Enlow looks. His box scores are never very impressive. I hoped for more from him.
  9. I hope Kirilloff can work his way out of this slump soon. It would be nice to see him heat up. ...kidding!!
  10. Why no Reed, Rodgers, Rodney, or Duke? Game already out of hand? I mean, they could still get them some work. Oh well.
  11. Looking at those two clips of Berrios, especially the second one, you have to wonder what the heck you’re supposed to do with a pitch like that??!? So nasty! Great start to the season for he hometown nine!
  12. Darvish’s price didnt seem too high. That’s annoying. I guess Odorizzi or archer would be my preference with sending out any combination of Kepler, Sano, Gordon, or the AAA pitchers.
  13. I mean, those are eye-popping numbers from Moran. Hope his body can hold up. There's at least a couple/few short seasoners to be excited about. I'm pretty pleased with this year's draft. Thanks for the write-up.
  14. Well, that came as advertised with some sizzling numbers! Badoo (and Miranda) seemed like daily names in the minor league reports. It's also nice to see some robust OBP's with some of these guys!
  15. Any thoughts on on De La Torre? Seems to swing a decent stick. Also, Badoo and Miranda keep killing it. Excited about those two. This could wind up being a good couple of drafts
  16. I'll take a stab at arbitration. I have to side drjim on the AA and AAA being high minors. Sorry Brock. Anyways, love the move. I'm confident in Falvine and am definitely excited about many of the ways they're running the org.
  17. I have to ask because this is an example of my absolute largest sports pet peeves. When you say "a Kohl Stewart" etc do you mean Kohl Stewart or any old Kohl Stewart? Same with "a Kyle Gibson". How many are we talking here? When we're in a sports conversation, it's ok to just say somebody's name. Not "when you have a Joe mauer batting .300 you always have a shot". NO! When Joe Mauer does xyz then whatever. It's a specific person being talked about. Not one of several of them. It's not lost on me that what is probably meant is "a guy like ____" but it just kills me. Is there anyone else that feels this way?? Sorry, rant over and this is not directed at you specifically. I'll show myself out.
  18. I'd love to see them sell. Boost up the farm with returns from Santana and Kintzler and go from there. They're a first round playoff exit at best. It's tough for the suits and the team though. Athletes always think they're in it and selling would be hard on them. The suits have to consider Joe blow ticket buyer and season tickets etc. tough call for the people that matter.
  19. Ok guys, I wouldn't normally do this, but it was a bit glaring in this episode. If you are going to be professional broadcasters, as Aaron states in the episode, let's get some names right. It's not tough and you don't even need to speak Spanish. Jose Quintana is not Kwin - TAN - uh. It is keen - tahn- uh. Stephen gonsalves. I think is probably pronounced steven. Gimenez is not JIM -enez. It is he - MEN - ez. He might have told the broadcasters to say it wrong if he has anglosized it, but Spanish does not have our J sound. Let's give people the respect of saying their names correctly, especially when tens of thousands of people hear you. That said, I do enjoy the pod and listen every week so thank you.
  20. Wow, really entertaining article. Thanks for putting this together Seth. My opinion would be that it is an aggressive but appropriate move for him. Your research shows that it's not uncommon for this to happen. Several of those players ended the season at high A. I mean, thats where he'll end, but he's got plenty of season to acclimate. I think his time in the appy league was good for him to get used to playing after a layoff and pro ball. Looks like he's right where he should be.
  21. Lets say that Palacios continues to to mash as he moves his way up, and he and Gordon play comperable D. He is only a level behind Gordon. When it comes time to think about the MLB, do you think they give more opportunities to Gordon because of the cash invested in him? Or do you think they will go for performance? I would hope that if Palacios is the superior player, that he would get the nod at short, despite the fact that he isn't a big bonus baby.
  22. I think my family and I were at Mount Rushmore the same day as you! I really hope you made your way to Sylvan Lake. Highlight of the trip for me. Anyway, I think the line about making brad hands vs trading for them is great. I also believe we have our own if Falvine would get their heads out of their butts and call up the likes of Curtiss, Bard, Reed, et al. Molitor could also give Hildenberger more run too. It's like they're trying to have a crap bullpen. *Edit...Autocorrect
  23. I was definitely excited when Lewis got the call 1-1. Glad he's off to a hot start, like kiralof (?) last year. A major benefit of nabbing a position player high in the draft? Seeing them everyday in the box scores!
  24. Agreed about Stewart, though I'm never too fast on the "maybe this is him turning a corner" based on one start. Not that you are. Anyway, seems like lamont wade has been quiet in these reports for a couple weeks. Hopefully he gets hot again. Lastly, based on the headline, I was hoping Gordon had had a better day at the plate than 1-3. Oh well, he's been looking good. As always, thanks so much for the report; best part of my daily internet browsing
