  1. I like your thoughts, but Bell should be at 20% and Clemens as a bench piece playing 3 or 4 days would be a more valuable player.
  2. I forgot that he was on rehab, yes he would be more preferable.
  3. Why not give Fedko a shot, he can't be worse than Outman and he has at least played CF in the minors unlike Clemens. What do we have in Sabato, don't you want to know if you have something at some point. Would he be worse than Bell Otherwise we are going to see the same type of roster next year, just different names. This roster is not constructed, be honest and make moves to move forward. And don't rely on depth guys to fill the 26 man roster next year. Those are just two examples, of course Culpepper is another that should be up here.
  4. Morris is supposed to be a one inning guy, not a long relief, so do you want him available Saturday or Sunday in Pittsburgh, you pull him now.
  5. It would have to be Fundy, Klein would be the only other 40 man option and he threw 60 pitchers on Tuesday.
  6. SWR is a bulk guy, like they want everyone to be.
  7. Yes because no young players ever come up and have success. Let's ask the White Sox how that works out. Every player in their lineup is 26 or younger except for Grichuk and Martin. Yes our way with six players over 30 is working so well for us.
  8. As opposed to watching the aging vets and AAAA guys flail away. At least there could be some upside with the kids, there is none to this roster as constructed.
  9. They do not seem to have faith in Kriedler, he was beat out by Gray coming out of spring training. They started Clemens in CF last night over Kreidler which is supposedly his reason to be up here as another option for CF. There was another game it would have been logical to start him and he didn't. So why is he even on the roster other than being a body.
  10. He is not going 5 innings regardless of how he pitches, so it will be hard to get the win.
  11. I would prefer him over Gray and Kreidler. I get we may need to have one of the three on the roster, but all three, that is insane.
  12. I am glad we haven't had many nights like last night and they actually have been more watchable than I anticipated. But having a roster with Gray, Arcia, Kreidler, Jackson, Caratini, Outman, Bell and trying to force Clemens into the lineup every day is not going to be sustainable for any kind of winning. They are stuck with Caratini because somebody has to catch. But can they get some players up here that might have a future with this team and quit forcing such wacky lineups. Gray is not an every day shortstop, Clemens is not an every day player, and Bell needs to be hitting 7th or lower if in the lineup at all. Show us they have some kind of plan other stop gap AAAA type players or aging veterans..
  13. We will see what they do, this is why I don't like what they are doing with Rojas. But it would only be one more day so they might push Rojas back to tomorrow..
  14. My guess is we will see Rojas tonight, they want to keep him on a every fourth day schedule so he can straddle the line between starter and reliever. There new fancy word for that is bulk pitcher.
  15. Why are they playing the infield in, give up a run for the out. This is too early in the game for this move.
  16. You are making two very big assumptions, first is Lewis at 1B, everybody on here wants that move but the Twins have yet to signal anything that it's going to happen. The other is that Bell will be traded, they will have to DFA him if they want to clear a roster spot. Last year Washington could find no one to take him at the trade deadline and there wasn't a lot of interest in the offseason. Other than a couple of good stretches this season, he has not done anything to improve his value.
  17. You forgot about Kreidler, he was playing there in spring training. Why is he on the roster as well as Outman.
  18. Why are either Kreidler or Outman on this roster. If they aren't going to playing them tonight in front of Clemens or Gray, they need to be gone. Everyone on here is saying Kreidler plays elite defense, someone may want to inform the Twins because Gray is that not strong of a SS. Get players up here that least you are going to play, playing short handed is shooting yourself in the foot. One other rant, the Twins literally have no starters down in AAA, they are bulk guys at this point. If you are going to move guys around in the rotation, you need to start developing some starters in AAA that are ready to come up and contribute.
  19. Outman with a K rate of almost 50 percent, he should not be leaving Chicago with the rest of the team.
  20. You let Outman hit against a lefty but not Larnach who has been giving much more productive AB's than Outman.
  21. That was a nice play by Keaschall, I am not sure how you give all the credit to Clemens.
  22. I am glad he left Ryan in there, right now he is our best pitcher and I will live and die with our best out there every time.
  23. Why did Outman hit against the lefty, I thought Kreidler was an outstanding center fielder.
