  1. Lucky break there. That ball was foul
  2. Good start from Clippard...I like him as the opener against three lefties.
  3. Good victory. The offense jumped on early and Dobnak gave us 5 solid innings. Clippard has really impressed thus far, and Duffey is one of the most underrated relievers in the game. Romo is as cool as the other side of the pillow, and Rogers is a certified closer. The offense did a nice job getting on base, but the timely hitting has not been there thus far. When we are rolling this is a game we put away in the mid-innings. All in all, I will take a split facing Bieber and Clevinger.
  4. Twins win!! The pitching was really good, and the bats did enough early. I'll take that win! Until tomorrow, Go Twins!!!
  5. Love the emotion from Sergio!!!! Good inning against all lefties
  6. Tyler Duffey has been fantastic thus far
  7. We have had a very tough time of adding on tonight...hopefully the bullpen can stay hot
  8. We got what we needed from Dobnak, but it wasn't exactly pretty. Command wasn't what it normally was out of him, and saw a ton of foul balls. However, he went 5, didn't allow a runner to second base, and only walked one. Have to take that out of the 7th best starter on your roster.
  9. This may be the best umpire I have seen...ever
  10. Hasn't been real effective, but Dobnak has four scoreless thus far. Only threw 73 in his first start, at 70 right now. Have to imagine he is capped at around 90
  11. Very, very good inning from Dobnak. Don't give Clevinger a break, and get the bats back up. Perfect
  12. Good first inning from the Twins..Dobnak needs to come out and attack the zone here
  13. There we go!!!! Total 180 thus far!
  14. Dobnak with the same issue we've seen from many Twins thus far...not putting guys away. Smeltzer better be ready to throw tonight
  15. Props to Lindor for the mask but not sure it is doing much without the nose covered
  16. I think playing is the right choice, for now, in this circumstance. You knew players would test positive whether on our team or an opponent. We have all tested negative, so play the game. It is a different case if STL is still in town, but they aren't. Also, move Arraez up in the order Rocco, you stubborn son of a gun!
  17. Good news is that we saved our bullpen, and the bottom 2 of 3 didn't allow a run. Arraez looked good at the plate (this is expected by now), and our defense was good. Our lineup has been struggling, and we saw that in the Cardinals series other than a few good innings. Doesn't help when Bieber has what he has. Tomorrow doesn't get any easier as Clevinger is only a halfstep below Bieber. At least Cleveland's bats didn't look too great either.
  18. Yikes. That was a very poor game at the plate, but you have to give credit to Bieber. Things aren't going to get any easier tomorrow. Until then, Go Twins
  19. That was promising from Thorpe in relief, and the good news is we have gotten 4 scoreless innings from 2 of the 3 bottom guys in our bullpen, and are only down 2 going into the 9th. More good news is Bieber is out of the game, and the guy coming in has control problems. The bad news is we are down 2 and the guy coming in has the highest MiLB K numbers ever....Go Twins
