  1. Sorry. I'll try not to let it happen again... I might jinx something.
  2. Yes. There is. Just don't ask me "on what?"
  3. Well, Toronto came back only once in three attempts against us from a 2 run first inning deficit, i sure hope we can do it once in well, one attempt, i hope.
  4. Sounds like Chicago is giving us the Toronto treatment...
  5. Yes. I am okay with it. Good game all! And kudos to Pino! I look forward to his next start!
  6. I'm also curious 'bout the etymology of the phrase. I'd say it is also a favorite of mine, though i couldn't say why, other than it sounds good. Anyway, i dig it; it is dug!
  7. Alas, it was not to be. Now i want to know what a three out rally looks like...
  8. Nice tag at second. Sad to see the runs score, but the game ain't over yet.
  9. Sorry... I'll try to do better. At least we're keepin' the scope of the jinx within reason. Only 1 batter at a time (i think) But that brings to mind... We're always worried about jinxin' players in the game. Have we ever given thought to not jinxin' the front office?
  10. 'Twas indeed a good at bat by Mr. Suzuki. I hope Parmelee can get him in.
  11. 1 run, courtesy of Willingham, bottom of the second. Not quite immediate, but so far, so good...
  12. Thanks for the heads up! "Almost there. Just hold on for a few more seconds." "Stay on target..."
  13. No, just a twang, as we get it in tune for a wash tub bass... I'm sure we'll right the ship with the up coming home stand. After all, we got Pino pitching tomorrow!
  14. By Parmelee, I think he's got it! (Yeah, guess an Escobar hit wasn't as important as i thought it might be) Now let's see if the pitching can hold it...
  15. I propose that Parmelee AND Escobar get a hit, rather than Parmelee OR Escobar get a hit... But of course i'm open to other ideas?
  16. Nice hit for Escobar down the line. Only he got gunned down at second... Is that due in part to a shallow left fielder because of the Monster? (As well as a superb throw, of course) Seeing where it was hit, i kinda thought it was shoe-in for a double...
  17. I hope so. Gotta wait another inning to see. Not too long though. This ball game is flying by.
  18. Yup. He's got two singles, (wound up at 1st the 1st time, and at 2nd the 2nd time. I'm hoping he doesn't stop at 3rd the next time) and had a ball over his head kick off his feet/shins into the bullpen for a ground rule double.
