    After passing 1st, ball went into foul territory, bounced off wall, but a fan reaching over collected that bounce. Vargas was given first, but not second, as Dyson was hovering to pick up the carom right away.

    Vargas couldn't dig out Santana's relay to complete an inning ending double play. Runner at second with two outs, as the ball skips out of play. Stuaffer shouldn't accrue any earned runs for this outing. I think. (I guess he is responsible for the runner at second, as double plays aren't supposed to be assumed...)

    Yeah, i wasn't aware of the rule that the foul tip had to be caught cleanly. I thought it just had to be caught as well. Sorry that i jinxed us there...

    Bases juiced. No outs. Yawn. Now a run in as Mauer eludes Dyson's glove.

    Not directly at least. But it's not entirely without effect. A few more pitches thrown, another batter comes up. If Twins win with 2 outs in the bottom of the ninth, strictly speaking, that batter might not have come up without the error. But yeah, far enough away, ya can't blame it directly. We're doin' pretty good so far, ain't we?

    Tie game, with Hunter at second with 1 out. Santana had a single, Hunter a ground-rule double, and Mauer got the RBI with a ground out to Shortstop.

    Oh, Ptewy. I meant to give a real shot at fulfilling Riverbrian's 2k requirements in post #1024. I guess i just got overzealous in yesterday's game thread. Not a bad thing, all things considered. And i've always wondered about the "delete" option next to edit. Would that reduce my post count? (Alas, i'm predominantly posting in game threads, which get archived, so i guess i'm out of luck even so)

    Vargas spells Mauer at first, Mauer spells Vargas as DH. Didn't know they were interchangeable... I'm glad Vargas gets to stretch out his glove once in a while. Er... Let us go, 2 in a row? Or is that a column?

    Oh yeah, i meant to respond to #4 as well. I make it to ballparks so rarely that i've no informed opinion. All i know is the long standing tradition that popcorn does not a full meal make. I do have a soft spot for crab rangoons these days. Have they infiltrated the ballpark menu yet? I do wish to comment on the delicacy of milldaddy35 for leaving the word "wurst" out of a thread about the Twins.
