  1. Alright. Who breaks it up? I'll go with Suzuki...
  2. On the plus side, the outfield has acquitted itself admirably. Schafer has had a few long running catches a few innings ago.
  3. We're going to need a bigger watch...
  4. It hit off the glove of Santana as he tried to backhand a grounder. They erased the runner on a double play, so no blood, no foul. Or is that the wrong sport?
  5. Yeah, i suppose if we can't have a good rotation, we might as well have a chaotic evil one...
  6. Mr. Felix struck the side out. Hughes answered with two of his own.
  7. As long as it is cold. I have it on good authority that "a one that is not cold is scarcely a one at all."
  8. Looking over the lineup, am i right in saying this is pretty much the standard Twins starting lineup, now that Dozier and Hunter are settling into their new roles? No strange platooning/substitutions, we're running out our best in the abstract, and giving them a chance.
  9. ftfy. Was afraid the rate you were going, you might not get past the fifth...
  10. Er, ashburyjohn is far faster and better at the explainings than i. Yeah, you got it.
  11. Psst. ChiTown. It's like Jeopardy, you have to word it in the form of a weird west coast hippy idea, whatever that may be. Like this: 'We don't like us no west coast hippies nor their weird ideas about "daylight savings time" and "Punch Line Contests"... We just wanna talk us some BaseBall!' Anyway, i'll try to talk baseball too... (Pause to gather thoughts...)
  12. Whoa! Strange things are afoot at the circle K. I was gonna hypothesize it came from pitching in the King Dome, but he didn't. However, following the wikipedia trail, perhaps he's named after the County that named the Dome? Anyway, Brian, you're in fine form! And i'm glad that the game thread is up early enough i can take a nap if i so choose.
  13. Does that mean they have a larger dog house? Perhaps 2 euchre games going?
  14. I could get used to this... A few twists and turns in the road, but it has now deposited us here. A win on the road. Thanks all! And i guess i'll get used to waiting for a winner to that one punch line contest. And time to turn over to the Wild game, i guess. I wouldn't mind seeing the epic comeback.
  15. That is significantly tamer than the image i had... I couldn't think of anything but Dune. The spice must flow...
  16. Is this "Mini-Prince" concept a harbinger of a new Austin Powers flick? Oh, and was there a winner for punch line contest, or did we all lose (except for Shakespeare and Jane Austin)
  17. Did Shakespeare play baseball? How would he get to third base?
  18. He changed his motion anyway, and i don't think it was in response to noticing Hunter, but rather hearing the catcher say something. The catcher also reset, so they changed what they were doing to catch the runner.
  19. I was also wondering if he did it all on his own, or if Vargas was supposed to protect him. Seemed like Guthrie cut off the pitch early and made a throw rather than a pitch, otherwise Hunter mighta made it.
