  1. Mauer! (i just felt like saying it)
  2. 2-1 Detroit, last run on back to back doubles with two out in the top of the 4th. Now Twins are comin' to bat in the bottom. CBU says i.
  3. Setting up the force at 3rd... Will that help us get out of the inning?
  4. A walk, an error, a double play, a hit, a run, a stolen base. (Circus) Boy, that inning had everything for Pelfrey. Okay, let us (the Twins) get that run back...
  5. Wish i coulda tasted some past-his-prime rbis... Oh well. Least he actually went around on it.
  6. Yup. Game goes without saying. But if you lose a cold, who knows who might find it. Can't let that happen.
  7. Sorry, been a while since i tried to cheer... I say WAH, you say...
  8. WAH! COUGH! WAH! COUGH! WAH! COUGH! Good enough?
  9. I think hubris has caught up to the Tigers in the base running department. Too easy to steal on a pitch, let's try something actually interesting...
  10. And Dozier hits it out... of play, avoiding a foul out.
  11. Er... Yes? or YES! I don't know...
  12. Price chased by a Santana bouncer of the short stop's glove (Iglesias) scores Schafer from second. Only a 2 run deficit...
  13. And Schafer a-huggin' second...
  14. Nice Throw, Robinson! Out by a mile! For very small miles...
  15. A goose egg. I'd almost forgot what it felt like.
  16. Another double play... Somewhat less impressive though. Still, 2 outs ain't nothin' to scoff at.
  17. Well spoke! In the immortal words of Jules: "If my answers frighten you then you should cease asking scary questions." I take the blame for any more puppy pictures.
  18. That was a sharp double play! And for positives, didn't the intro include puppies? What can possibly go wrong?
  19. But opening day is over. Alas. We scored quicker this time! Huzzah for Dozier and Plouffe!
  20. Now i had to figure that one out too... 10 strikes, no gutter balls, leaving 2 frames of one pin per bowl, spaced to break up as many turkeys as possible (but you have to end on a turkey to get the other 2 strikes in) Yeah, workin' that out, it's only 190. But it's worth mentioning for the turkeys! "For it's 1,2,3 strike - turkey down the old alley" Meh, Doesn't have the same ring to it. Man parodying isn't as easy as it sounds... Anyway, um... Bring on Detroit. Can't wait to hear what to think about tonight.
  21. That wouldn't be possible in a nine inning game, would it? It should be possible... 9 people start innings, 9 people end innings, 9 innings, each with starter and an ender... The trivial solution being 10 people bat every inning, and that's as hard as i'm gonna think for now. Wait. No. Strand/score one every inning will do it more simply. 4 batters every inning should do the trick. (Feel free to verify, as i could be wrong) It just seems unlikely, hence an intriguing anomaly.
  22. That should be proof enough for y'all.
  23. Apropo of nothing, i just found this on the interwebs, and was entertained:
  24. Mmmm. Can taste the chicken dinner... Speaking of which, did we ever figure out a place for Vargas to load up on chicken? (Not that he ever needs to, it was, well, just movie reference)
