  1. Now that the impending thundercloud has deposited its payload. Sure, the robe looks fine on ya, Mr. Brian.
  2. Perhaps you know when it is found, just not when it will be... All this talk about light switches makes me wonder... is the Cheat still grounded?
  3. Suzuki's stroked it, but another catch does him in... Oh well... Sorry to leave ya hangin' at 3rd, Mr. Hicks. Anyway, back to the business at hand. Get another goose egg for our bullpen.
  4. Not picky on how many at-bats. That worked for me... Hicks comes through again.
  5. Hunter w/ a force at 2nd. I like it. And regardin' Mr. Brian's robe... What's the under-rober for comments involving it?
  6. Rosario on third. Who's gonna get him in?
  7. You got a point there... I think everyone has to do their own part. Perhaps it's time to grab an oar?
  8. Ah, a not-really-rally. We tend to have a lot of those...
  9. That's a good use... It is behoovin' batters to be hoofin' it down the line to first, followin' the bat-ball contact.
  10. Is that to say the Hicks' catch... induced the post? Induce is far more versatile. I just wish they hadn't induced the Plouffe GIDP...
  11. That was you?! They did me well. I traded the locks to some old fella from New Orleans area for some magic beans. They worked alright! They gave me gas like i'll never forget. (That was when gas was upwards of $4 a gallon. "more expensive than milk" days.) Oh yeah. A game. And i gotta find out how we scored our run. Back yard be mowed, and there's something right about doin' it in the cool twilight o' the evenin'...
  12. I confess. I have not made it to the food getting place. But i haven't exactly bottomed out yet either, so just so as nothing untoward happens during the game... Also promised myself i'd mow the grass, and perhaps i should do that while it is still light outside. But i think the last Twins game i made it to live was the last time Pittsburgh was at Minnesota. I was on the back half of a road trip using friends' wedding as an excuse to see Yosemite, the Twins play in Oakland and in Minnesota, and also to drop off ~half a car load of stuff a friend had left at my apartment. He was happy to have his books and his keyboard once again. (and he put me up for a week in Oakland. It all evened out)
  13. Yes. Especially if the quantities are sufficient for the nuclear winter... Line ups appear to be available. Escobar in the 9 hole at Shortstop. Contrasted to their 9 hole 1st baseman? It must mean something... Otherwise seems pretty normal. Not that i'm normally an authority on normality... (2 plus hours to pass...)
  14. Ah yes! Groceries are upon my mind as well. Time for a run. But alas, our typical run wouldn't put us in a good post apocalyptic position. Too much produce and such... Not gonna get bent out of shape if no trade happens (or even if one does) but i'll follow it. Still a few hours to go 'til game time. Will try to use 'em productively or something.
  15. Hey, at least we outscored the Yankees 17-16 for the series. And in yesterday's game we kept trying, even after that 6th run inning. 3 of the 4 final innings the Yankees turned double plays, including the game ending one. And yeah, we had the lead in game 2. Next time we'll figure out how to hold it... These are chances to improve more dramatically than are afforded by playing lesser opponents. Anyway, lookin' forward to Pittsburgh games, and o' course the RB intro. Last we played Pittsburgh, didn't we sweep a 2 game series there? They probably were none too happy about that...
  16. If it's okay with everyone else, i think the Conga line gimmick is gettin' sent down to AAA to work on its consistency... I think our bane there were the double plays. If not for them, we might have had something.
  17. Dozier is on. Like where this is going...
  18. Maybe i should try bakin' bacon...
  19. And here i thought Gibson was gonna get out of it unscathed... Hope springs eternal, but sometimes it pools and stagnates too.
  20. Sounds good. Might wanna boil the pasta? And cube steak... perhaps cook it first, and cut it up before the skillet? Don't know...
