  1. G'night. (Soon i shall be eating hot pocket, then returning to what i was doin' before the game was halfway over...)
  2. Are CBUs still a valued service? 4-2 Minnesota half way through the 8th.
  3. I wouldn't object. (Ducks are indeed flying objects, though not quite worthy of a throne... I'd go with a Blackbird, though i'm perhaps out of date) Perkins gotta get back on the horse sometime, to mix a metaphor (shaken, not stirred)
  4. Oh, you mean you want the footnote which i think has been mentioned in threads past? Some, as have higher culinary standards, or perhaps weaker gastrointestinal tracts, would not deign to acknowledge the hot pocket category of food. But it's there somewhere in the food pyramid. I think it's blinking eye of the illuminati, or some such, um... word. Brian, i think i need the turpentine again.
  5. Oh, i wanted to say i appreciated the walk down memory lane earlier in this thread. Not sure i made the time to watch some of those games, but yeah, they was good.
  6. Would that be like making it a hot pocket for whathisname... the Denver QB? I like it. (always had a soft spot for hot pockets as a late night comfort food*)
  7. Funny word, bi-coastal. But i always coast on a bike. That's the whole point of riding one...
  8. Concur. Sorry i missed most of it, but i like the stats i see. Especially the score.
  9. People here laugh during the off season? Strange.
  10. So, it would be possible though absurd for everyone but the DH to get an assist on the same play? If only the the Harlem Globe Trotters played baseball...
  11. Yes... I don't think. Wait! No. I mean... Let me start again... Yes, it covers it adequately. But it also offers the loophole i was looking for... Something was said by an announcer about someone tying the record with 3 assists in an inning. (I think it followed a grounder to third, so it must have been a third baseman they were talking about) The rule (or as much of it as i read) seems to imply an assist is awarded even if a subsequent error causes the runner not to be put out. So it is possible for someone to have 4 assists in an inning. And no, it isn't really worth putting more effort into finding if it has happened (beyond a quick google search...)
  12. I shall await patiently for him to catch up on the game thread. Else, i can always dive into the rules online somewhere, and sort it out for myself.
  13. Meh, the proliferation o' media i'm sure factored into their decision. I myself crossed the line occasionally during the game. On the other side, i'm already regrettin' falling asleep briefly and missing the final out, as i see Kepler caught it. And unless it was a spectacle (in which case, it'd probably have woken me up), i doubt it will make any high lights...
  14. It's all one to me. I think that means you earned the aforementioned thanks...
  15. I wouldn't be surprised if it made it to the end of the season, though... Come on, hit it to right field...
  16. If there's a rundown, and a fielder throws the ball multiple times during the course of it, does he get more than one assist in the same play?
  17. I don't think it's a knock on Perk. I think that's just a practical take on how to get him back up to speed.
  18. Ya know, they might replay it... Perhaps during the highlights of the game? But ya never know...
  19. Buxton decreases the leverage. Is it now?
  20. I think this is to what ChiTown is referring. And i didn't note the photo with friday's game thread intro. Did he really hit his hand for the sake of the thread?
  21. Half or full? Or Quarter, i suppose? If i had a nickle...
  22. Yes. (I'm sorry, that was a "how" question) Probably by watching it. With his eyes. But probably also with associated refreshments and company, even if they be strangers, or at least strange)
  23. Purely coincidental. (At least i hope so...)
  24. A little longer run than the last score, no?
