  1. I am still trying to figure out why the 15th pitch was needed... Last i checked, 2x3+8x1 = 14.. No passed balls/wild pitches/stolen bases. What other reason could they have recorded more than one pitch to an at bat?
  2. Yeah, i guess so. Sorry. But still 6 runs ahead... And i'm curios about the play ending the inning - singled to third baseman, runner from first out at second. Guess he came off the bag, and someone was quick with the tag?
  3. Here comes Alex Meyer to shut the Red Sox down.
  4. I can't complain about how the game has gone. Though i do note i contributed a bit to three game threads (er, 3 games, 2 threads, kinda a hemiola that way) which we lost... But i'm not worrying. It's only spring training after all.
  5. 4-2 in the 8th, Phillies still on top. At least we got Rupp out. And yeah, old movies available on the tubes, star wars still in theaters really makes the point moot if it wasn't already. But they is good. And for the older ones, how often do ya get to watch 'em in a theater setting these days. So i'll just say "Yes on 1 and No on 2" and leave it at that.
  6. Phillies up 2-1 in the 5th. Who is this Rupp fellow, with a second solo homerun this game?
  7. On a complete tangent, which may be moot in the long run... I still have not seen the new Star Wars. At this point i might as well wait until late April when i can see it for free. But another local theater is showing Real Genius and Buckaroo Banzai at conflicting times. Of the 3, which should i miss? I might end up being out of town, but i hope not.
  8. We is up, 1-0 in the 3rd. Oops. There goes the no hitter. And the lead. 1-1. Oh bother.
  9. Sounds like a winner! At least as far as answers go.
  10. Strange. I got one of those outside my window. Wonder if it could be the same one...
  11. Ah, that's what they are doing... Then perhaps it is a rolled up tarp to catch stray paint/chalk.
  12. Nice! What's the blue thing's purpose between the mound and home?
  13. Beresford walks to load 'em for Rodriguez, who has gotten out, but gameday has yet to say how... Oh well. Thanks all.
  14. Thanks for the update. Jays won 9-3. Twins are down to the Cards 5-3 with runners at the corners and 2 out. Beresford at the bat...
  15. Toronto still up 8-3 after Sano goeth Yard following a Rosario double, mid 7th. And Darnell almost gets out of a no outs runner on 3rd with 2strikeouts, but the ball carries over the fence (or so i speculate, not seeing what actually happened, don't mind being corrected at all) to put the Cards up 3 to 2, now entering the 7th. Oh well. still a few innings to catch 'em!
  16. Premature update... inning ends with Jays up 8-1. Sorry about that. Sano has an assist at 2nd. Cards on the board 2-1. Both in the 6th, if lethargic interent has not failed me to grievously... Dryer is done, hopefully for good. Nothing left but the folding...
  17. Different ends of 5th inning, Toronto now up 6-1, Minnesota up 2-0 (over the Cards) Something... Rich get richer... That's how it goes... Everybody knows. (incomplete musical interlude)
  18. Same scores in the fourth... And perhaps if Duffey can figure out the Jays, he'll be unstoppable... "Sweet are the uses of adversity..."
  19. I don't believe they track/publish individual pitches for spring training, so it autopopulates the minimum needed to be consistent with what they do track/publish. That being said, the results are still better than they mighta been. Oh good. Dryer finished...
  20. Mr. Park has left the park. Leastwise a ball from his bat. 5-1 Toronto. Alas, am subsisting on gameday as i await the dryer, so not exactly living up to digital era updating capabilities... But so it goes.
  21. Toronto gives Duffey another rude welcome, Grand slamming him in e first. 5-0 in the second. Dozier gets first blood off of Wacha, coming in on a Mauer double play ball. 1-0 in a different second. Seconds matter...
  22. But beyond extra playing time, it probably is up to each team/player to make a better tool of it, or use it well. Just speculating on a hypothesis...
  23. Yes. Er, if i was feeling eloquent, i woulda made an analogy in the intro to my dryer, which sometimes takes two cycles to dry everything.
