    Hope he recovers! Yeah, that was a bit of friendly fire that got the Chargers in the endzone... Hope nothin' like that happens in this (the Twins) game. 'Specially with Buxton and Hicks in the outfield.

    Despite my desire to watch both, i stuck gameday on the Twins and turned on the football game.

    I always kinda wish that, having 2 eyes, we could watch 2 things at the same time... But it can be confusin'... The Euchre club sometimes only had 7 people. So i'd sit between the two tables. That was fun, but people were patient with me, particularly in reminding me what was goin' on.

    Oh, and if anyone is needing a dancing image, do a search for hamster dance... I don't know if that would adequately express the jubilation resulting from a win, but i'm sure it'll while the time 'til something better comes along.

But yeah, 90' is the distance from the point of the plate where foul lines intersect to the far edge on the foul line of both 3rd and 1st, and the distance from those points on 3rd and first to the center of 2nd... Thanks for the edumication on the fine details of the lay out of the infield.

    So the bases/plate are inscribed within a 90' square?

    tie game. thanks for distracting me from the tigers scoring. 88.5' = 88'6" = (88x12+6) = 1,062" plate is nestled into foul lines w/ 12" along both lines... bases are 90' down lines (nearest point, i assume, else the above adjustment is the other half the question.) but then... is it 17" wide? or is it 12 times the square root of 2 inches?

    What's the shape of home plate? I vaguely remember hearing it's 17 inches wide (causing the strike zone to be that with the width of a baseball of fuzzy logic). Is it inscribed into a 17" square, or does it circumscribe one?

    Sadly, Plouffe will not be able to increase his total this inning. But at least he can advance Sano.

    CBU game is maximizing the double play potential. After 1 inning, 2 double plays, Twins lead 1-0. (Still tryin' to figure out how you get more than two per inning.)
