    I was wondering how the recent slew of DFAs worked with regards to trades. One loosely assumes they aren't the most valuable of assets, but they have 10 days to trade them or clear waivers or outright them if memory serves? Waivers take 3 days as well? It shows your hand, but if >1 team were interested, it could precipitate a mini-deadline for a deal involving them ahead of the main deadline. Probably not useful, but i do like to make things more complicated than they should be...

    Oh yeah... I too wasn't thinking that hard, but the animated series was worth watching. The incidental music to the show comes to mind as easily as the original tv music, which says something.

    To come totally clean, this is all my fault. I'm the reason The 2019 Minnesota Twins lost a third game in a row. I was supposed to write the game thread intro. I was even up and saw it was a day game as of like 9am (and that's east coast) But alas i hadn't gotten an idea yet, so i started waiting for the line ups, a tried and true method of, if not getting inspiration, at least passing the time until i have an excuse to throw the basics up. I got distracted by something else, still didn't think of anything better than "Rubechat" mentioned at the tail end of last night's game thread (another fine source of inspiration), but that in and of itself isn't an acceptable idea. I needed somewhere to go with it. Rubics cube, or rubicon (that's pretty good actually... mighta done something with it if i'd thought of it back then.) Anyway, i figured as of 10:30-11ish, short nap wouldn't hurt. Might even help. But alas, i woke up at 1:15, as the game was supposedly starting, and this thread was already underway. Well, if i can't introduce the thread, at least i can close it out. May this be the last 3 game losing streak of the season! In the words of Ferris Bueller... "You're still here? It's over*. Go home!" Go. *-this game thread. Not the season

    Aw, they fell victim to the classic blunder. Most famous of which is to never get involved in a land war in asia. But only slightly less well known: never get a runner on third with no outs!
