    Loved Dan "The Man From" Gladden! But to me the key possession move was brining in Jeff Reardon. He was the Big Bad Bull at the back of the pen. Gladden was the icing on the cake and being able to eat it. I met Dan in the Oakland parking lot in 88. Great family, I was talking smack with one of their San Jose family friend that was an A's fan. Good give and take. His sister was as fiesty as he was.

    Buck will be cool in the spring but as the weather warms so will he and as August fades and summers glow dims the weather will chill the man will turn stone cold, as in stone cold murderer. I look for 20,20,and a 100. That is 20 90 yard sprints, 20 thefts, and a 100 notches in the scoring column. September 10 thefts, 5 round trip tickets, 10 90 yard sprints, a .300 batting average, 25 notches in the scoring column, leading the Twins to a wild card birth.

    I can't believe Tony O want featured multiple times! Late in his career he was the epitome of DH. Ol Heme Mauch would lead him off. Tony O would draw a walk them hey pinch run for.

    Some people are never happy :-( I took great joy in watching this team improve over the course of this year. I was able to attend Buxton's debut. See why Sano was a heralded prospect since he was 16! Dozier MVP, absolutely. My goal for next year is a couple of arms to make their MLB debut in stunning fashion.

    If they could get somebody in Troy Tulowitzki's class and signed to a multi year deal for... IDK Pelfrey, Hicks, Santana and Pinto. I say roll with it. There is definitely a core of players I wouldn't trade though. Or something similar.

    I was at the game, 23rd row behind home plate. Just before Rosario stepped to the plate I told the fella in front of me Buxton scores on a double maybe a single in the right center gap. The Rangers seemed to give us that gap in the two games I saw Saturday and Sunday. I was able to get an excellent photo of Buxton's dribbler to third, but not sure how to post it. He covered a lot of ground in center and made it look easy. My buddy and me were commenting on how uneasy he looked at the plate. Still hope he sticks for the rest of the year.

    I will be at the game Sunday. Last night I saw a BIG BUCK in Arlington but it WAS SOOOOOOOO fast I only caught a glimpse. ABSOLUTELY GEEKED! ! ! ! ! 28TH row behind home plate.

    I will be at Sundays game. I think I saw a BIG BUCK grazing in Arlington last night. He WAS pretty fast soooooooo I only saw a glimpse. Saturday ducets were 11th row behind home plate. Getting to watch Buxton debut PRICELESS! ABSOLUTELY GEEKED!!!!

    Most comments, blogs, and stories in TD are statistically driven. Attitude is the antithesis of a statistical response. The only way it can pass muster is the eyeball test, and everybody's eyeballs are different. This is the proverbial "IT". You just kinda get a feeling and then it starts feeding on itself and grows. This is the intangible aspect of sports that I'm addicted to.

    Thanx for the update. That would definitely be a different approach for St. Paul Molitor than in the past. See Santana, Johan.

    Carew's eyes and hands were so incredible the only real comparison would be Teddy "ballgame" Williams. If Santana is half the hitter Carew was he will be a perennial borderline All-Star. And that would be a fine career!

    I still think he has a shot at the big club when they break camp, out of the bullpen. It's not like we have a whole lot of answers after Perk.

    My only criteria for making the big club is that each player earned their roster spot. If Pelfrey is in the rotation so be it. I think this team is going to surprise MLB in a good way this year. Wasn't sure what to think of Rosario but he is growing on me. It's nice to have options if something isn't working. At least the cupboard is STOCKED and not bare. I look for Mauer to hit .300 again, nice out of the two hole. Dozier just keeps chugging along, nice option in the three hole. Then the big sticks Plouffe, Arcia, Vargas, and Hunter, any order 4,5,6, and 7. Three run flies win alot of games. Suzuki and Hicks/Schaeffer/Rosario bring up the tail end. Our rotation looks to match up with most. Hughes looks like he wants to be a Radke #1. Sweet touch last year eschewing a LARGE bonus, not on same scale as Teddy Ballgame playing both games of a double header to hit .400 but, same principle i.e. LEADERSHIP. Santana is a salty arm and Gibson is showing the makeup of a wily veteran. If Nolasco can return to form...... That leaves the bull pen. It's nice to know you have a quality closer, which IMHO Perkins is. Everyday Ed needs to clone himself 3or 4 times and we will be OK!

    I picked up Perk in my fantasy league! Sounds to me like he will get more multiple inning saves.

    I heard somebody once say "brick x brick." Santana at SS looks like a solid brick. Not worried about CF because another brick is on the way by the end of the year (Buxton). Utility i.e. an Al Newman type is very benificial but not bothersome. Nunez, meh. Herman, useful in a Cesar Tovar 9 position in one game kind of way. Really wanted Hicks to grab the CF position and run with it this spring but not seeing it. if Rosario beats him out and makes the club, there is another brick.
