  1. Cleveland is throwing four RHP at the Twins, so he may be a bench body for that series as far as matchups go. But, it's Molitor, so you're probably right.
  2. Only 63 PA, but Field does have a 114 wRC+ against LHP, which is just a point under Robbie's 115 ... It wouldn't be difficult for him to be a defensive upgrade over Robbie. He probably won't draw the walks, but he'll run better. I know Cave hit the slam after a great PA yesterday, but he still K's at 50% clip against LHP Field is only 26. I know Austin is the sexy name after the deadline deals, but this isn't the worst look-see callup. It's far from a Belisle/Wilson type of move.
  3. High fly to right. Field is under it. Usually is.
  4. Good to see a decent game from Gordon .... He needs to build on that and really pick it up the rest of the month. Arraez looks to be making a run at being the Twins top MIF prospect (at least on the offensive side), so hopefully that pushes Gordon to improve. I would be interested in the odds of the following keystone combos a year from now: 1) Polanco/Gordon 2) Polanco/Arraez 3) Polanco/Other #3 probably has the best odds until you plug an actual name in there. EDIT: I should qualify "Twins top MIF prospect" as who will be ready first. I don't want to imply that I think Arraez is a better prospect than Lewis.
  5. Apparently, Jim Callis thinks Gordon is playing well, so it's not just the locals who are fooled. Do the Pipeline writers even check in on prospects, or do they just make stuff up?
  6. Wow, more posts suggesting Gordon get the call and questioning Forsythe blocking him. He has about three weeks to figure out AAA, or he won't even be a top 100 prospect next year. By that time, he should have well over 300 PAs with the Red Wings. If that ends with this sub-50 wRC+ non-sense, there is no way he should be looked at in September. He'll need to be added to the 40, so that will probably get him an ST invite. I wouldn't say he "deserves" that though.
  7. Hershiser = joke ... I'd almost rather listen to Torii make stuff up
  8. Morrison should be passed thru waivers, and if there is zero interest just release him and call up Austin.
  9. For a true grade, I would factor in the performance of the player replacing the traded player. Right now, Mejia, Sano and Moya are making the Lynn, Escobar and Duke trades look better. Adrianza and,to a lesser extent, May are making the Pressly and Dozier trades look worse. So for me, this is collectively an A ATM.
  10. Bombs in his first game like a boss!
  11. Mejia will end up getting Cleveland 3 times in August, including today. Next two are in their house. Great opportunity to see how he fairs against the current rivals. Tough assignment.
  12. Watching Mejia makes the return for Lance Lynn just seem like free players.
  13. Jody Gerut is the best former Indian that Facebook could get?
  14. I'm sending my alexa back to Amazon. I got ripped off.
  15. Sano keeps hitting since he got off the FTM Shame Train
  16. Probably the best 5 innings I've seen from Mejia .... Hopefully, that final half season tune-up in Rochester will result in lots of this!
  17. Was Morrison trying to blame that terrible swing on the umpire?
  18. Carrasco may maddux the Twins today.
  19. KEPLER!! E-5 going to the Morales school of base-running.
