  1. I am actually glad he is coming back. Gives us depth and maybe he can bounce back? Yes, I agree, I wish we never got rid of Ben Revere. Never understood that trade. I can actually seeing us trade Span, because we had Revere...
  2. What would you say is Hicks ceiling? Could he be a 20/20 guy?
  3. I really like Escobar as a utility man... I think he can join the likes of Denny Hocking. Floriman is very good defensively, but his offense is so bad that I just do not think he is a major league caliber starter. However, if Escobar starts what does Floriman offer? He is not a bat off the bench.
  4. Is it best for the Twins and Hicks to have Hicks start in the minors?
  5. Seth I agree with you on playing Willingham in the OF to make him more tradable. Eventually I hope to see Hicks in LF to give us more defense in the OF.
  6. Interesting post...I love your enthusiasm. I think he will push for the batting title. He will hit at least .330 in my opinion. I also think he will hit around 15 homers.
  7. Thanks for posting this. Really excited about our future.. I know I am greedy, but hopefully we can trade a veteran or two (Correia, Plouffe, and/or Willingham) for more prospects.
  8. If Plouffe hits 20 or more home runs we could possibly get a decent prospect for him?
  9. Prediction Josh Willingham-21 Dark Horse: Miguel Sano: After June call up..
  10. I would expect, like most here, that Hicks, Pinto, Meyer, Sano, and Buxton will all start in the Minors. Boring, yes, but good for the team in the long run....Hopefully, all or almost all of them, will see the majors this year.
  11. I really do not mind Florimon being our shortstop due to his defense.. However, Does anyone think Danny Santana has more potential?
  12. I do not even know if wins-losses are the biggest thing this year.. * Improvement in every aspect(pitching, defense, offense) * Brian Dozier, Oswaldo Arcia, and Josmil Pinto continue to improve and become key building blocks for the Twins. * Aaron Hicks either wins the center field position either in Spring or in May/June. He then keeps the position warm for Buxton in 2015. Hicks will than move to LF and give us a young and exciting outfield. * Josh Willingham will bounce back and allow us to trade him for a nice prospect or two. * Nolasco, Pelfrey, and Hughes prove to be worth the money by being solid inning eating pitchers. * Miguel Sano and Alex Meyer are called up sometime in the summer and stay on the team for the next decade or so. * Jason Kubel makes the team.
  13. Our pitching is better.. It can not be much worse. Our staff will not be word beaters, there are no Johan Santana's obviously. Hopefully we have a Brad Radke or two? Could our staff be like the one when we had Radke, Joe Mays, Eric Milton, etc.? That would be a good staff if we had a good offense. I just do not have faith in our offense unless some kids can produce.
  14. I will miss Coomer... Will give Jack Morris a chance too... I really like Tim Laudner.. I also would rather have TK over Bert Blyleven. I like Bert, but he is getting a little old though.
  15. A few years ago we had Joe Mauer and Wilson Ramos at catcher.. This year there is a good chance we will start with Kurt Suzuki and Eric Fryer.
  16. I was just curious... Thanks!
  17. I guess I was just listing the players that are here now. I am hoping we sign another player or two.
  18. I could see Sano drive Gardy nuts from time to time.. But, I am excited for him.. I am guessing it will be best for him to start at AAA. The kid is still young.
  19. Does he have any chance of making the roster? Could he push Plouffe until Sano is ready?
  20. Hi everyone.. I have been a long time lurker. I finally signed up.. I am from NW Iowa.. Grew up as a huge Twins fan.. Grew up loving Kirby, Herbie, Gaetti, Gladden, Gagne, etc. Suffered through the long 90's after '92 but never stopped following the Twins..I remember getting excited about signings of players like Orlando Merced and Kevin Maas. Then was the same age as Jacque Jones, Hunter, Doug M, AJ P, etc. And that was a special group to follow. Like everyone else here suffered during the contraction talk and the stadium issues. Excited to finally sign up.
