TwinChargers's Achievements

  1. As someone who went through the whole Sling TV debacle, I switched over to Hulu Live only to see them raise their price $10 a few months later (frustrating to say the least). Playstation Vue is no longer going to be an option now either. For YEARS I have wanted some way just to legally stream the Twins games and not have it be lumped in with a bloated channel package that I don't ever watch. I'd love to see the Twins put together a channel for live streaming their games. Please, Twins/MLB, take my money!!
  2. What, no "Turn Ahead the Clock" jersey from the late 90's?
  3. How long before MLB.TV just lets you pay a premium price and lets you watch the team in your home market? Blackouts be damned, I shouldn't have to get a dish just to watch the Twins. I'll gladly pay MLB more for there service. What is the issue?
  4. According to Bob Nightengale, the Twins are out on Arroyo. The finalists are Diamondbacks, Dodgers and Orioles. Perhaps the Twins could be switching there attention to the reportedly cost reduced E.Santana?
  5. My apologies on LaHair. I thought his numbers were from this last season. And while Pierre is definitely on the downside of his career, his .247 BA would have been an improvement for our typical OFer, and his 23 steals would have easily been team lead. Is he an all star? By no means, but he would be an improvement over what we have.
  6. If we are going to get a defensively less than stellar outfielder on our team, I'd rather get Juan Pierre. Two seasons ago he still hit for over .300 and swiped 37 bases. If he could hit even .270 and steal 20+ bases in a part time role I'd be happy. This team is lead footed, and having someone who opposing pitchers would have to think about while on the basepaths would be refreshing. If we need a power threat OF, why not look at Bryan LaHair? His name might not be as flashy, but in under 350 AB he hit for 16 HRs and batted for about .260. That and he doesn't have the steroid cloud looming over his head. He can play some first base too in case something happens to Mauer.
  7. Yeah, Mauer having his statistically worst (healthy) year after moving to a less demanding position doesn't make a ton of sense. What is also troubling is our biggest power threat hits only 20 HRs and we don't have a base stealer that can swipe more than 12 bases. Lets hope Terry Ryan isn't done yet!
  8. So we are under the assumption that the Twins are signing no one else that will make the team out of spring training? That's unfortunate.
  9. If a batter is looking for a one year deal to up his value, the Twins and Target Field are not likely the place he's most likely to do it. I wouldn't mind being wrong though. I agree with minn55441. Cruz isn't going to be bad, but I'd think his best years are definitely in the rear view.
  10. I think Torii Hunter needs to be put in there somewhere. I believe it was he and Morneau that nearly got into fisticuffs early in Justin's career. I miss the Twins having a bit of fire in there belly. Seems those early 2000 teams had a chip on there shoulder that these teams the last few years just don't have. Unfortunately, wherever the Twins have someone who speaks up they are usually out in a hurry.
  11. Milwaukee hasn't signed Garza quite yet!
  12. Hello all. Looks like you have yourselves a nice site going here. I've been on some forums that one could say are significantly 'less moderated' than this appears to be. Some nice, level headed Twins talk is just what I'm looking for. Looks to be a pretty active community also, so there are just a few pluses to joining in.
