Three things... 1. I was singing a Milli Vanilli song in the shower this morning. Wife said I sounded as good as the original. "How do you know that?" I asked. 2. Yes, it's the end of another hard year. But damn it, kids, it's been a lot darker for the Boys from the Twin Cities. On this date in 2000, as talk swirled of folding our tent through contraction, the last-place Twins defeated the first-place White Sox at the Dome 6-5 in 10 innings. Down 5-0 in the 7th, we came back with 4 runs in our half as A.J. Pierzynski clubbed a 3-run shot. In the bottom of the 8th, Denny Hocking -- yes, the heir to Cesar Tovar and Nick Punto's daddy -- tied it up with a sharp single to center, scoring Torii Hunter who'd tagged a triple to lead off. We won in the 10th on Matt Lawton's 2-out, full count homer. It was our 67th win. And we went on to play winning baseball the rest of the decade. Well played, Mr. Hocking. Better days are coming. 3. I don't remember the third thing. That is all.
