    I'm not so sure putting an offensive black hole at the top of the lineup is worth the small advantage gained by putting Dozier 4th.

    I agree his window is "shrinking" in the sense that everyone's window is shrinking as they get closer to death. But as tobi pointed out, Hicks hasn't even gotten a full season at the Major League level. Have we gotten so impatient that a prospect must be above-average within 5 months of arrival? If that were the standard, I would imagine that boatloads of current MLBers would never have gotten the chance to excel.

    Hasn't research shown that you want your best hitters in the 2 and 4 spots in your lineup? I don't know what "best" means in this context, but perhaps it means "best at getting on base"? Not sure how this impacts where Dozier and Mauer should be, respective to each other, but I like Dozier 1, Mauer 2, <insert "best" remaining Twins hitter here> 4.

    Uh oh...Gardy put his only other 3B as DH. What if Escobar gets hurt and Plouffe has to move there and we lose our DH?!? /CatcherLogic.

    At some point, someone has to put an end to the "you need one catcher on the bench at all times" nonsense, right? It really hurts the team to have Hermann as the defensive replacement when the Twins also have two too many pitchers on the roster.

    Sorry, one more contribution. Gardy isn't a doctor, and even the best doctor won't be able to tell us when Hicks will be back from his concussion. Corey Koskie never got back, it took Morneau forever. Other guys probably don't even need the full 7 days. Concussions are a serious thing and Hicks will be back when he's back.
