  1. Ugly line for Berrios. Also the Free Slama! movement running out of steam - 5BB in 2 IP. The NB line up has 12BB but only 5 hits.
  2. What I like about Stewart's upside is there's a chance we could look back in 12 months and think he was the best talent in the draft. Of course there is risk and he could blow up, but with a high pick it's great to see the team shoot for the stars rather than taking a higher floor, lower ceiling safe pick.
  3. Boo! Gray to Colorado. OK, now take Stewart.
  4. Any chance Rockies take Stewart? Or Smith? Gray falling to #4 would be amazing
  5. Better start for Baxendale at NB - 1 ER (solo HR) through 6 IP so far
  6. To date, the Twins middle infield has out-homered Justin Morneau: SS - 3 HR 2B - 3 HR 1B - 2 HR
  7. Swarzak's only thrown 15 pitches. Couldn't he have bunted Florimon over? Seems like a waste of Herrman's AB
  8. Mauer and Morneau have 172 PAs between them in May without hitting a home run.
  9. Kevin Correia's WAR: 0.8 Rest of the Twins rotation: -2.3
  10. There's no one in the FSL within .200 of Sano's OPS (1.165 to the next best .947). That's flat out dominating the league.
  11. Miserable outing for De Vries. Colabello continues to make a pitch for a seat on the plane next to Gibson with a grand slam (12 HR for the year)
  12. Justin Upton leads the entire Twins team in HRs - currently 11-10. Yu Darvish leads all Twins starters in Ks - currently 49-47. What's the longest an individual has outpaced an entire team for I wonder?
  13. Berrios a bit rusty early on
  14. It's a very pleasant 80 degrees today in Sydney by the way, but I'll be in the US next week so if you could lose the snow it would be much appreciated.
  15. Goncalves up to NBR? Didn't see that reported anywhere. EDIT: Looks like Bigley to Rochester, presumably as a result of Arcia being called up. Does Goncalves leave a spare OF spot in FTM? Too early for Buxton I guess.
  16. Sano with No. 5 for the year. No one (at least in the last 10 years) has hit 30 HR in the Florida State League. Can Sano do it this year? Or will he get moved up if he's hitting well enough to be on track for that sort of number?
  17. And then KC strikes out Trout and Hamilton. Go figure.
  18. Arcia with another long ball. Doing his best to make a mid-season Willingham trade look attractive
  19. I always enjoyed Mike Redmond's flares to shallow right field. Luis Rodriguez was someone I thought never quite got a fair shake. Also, as an Aussie I'm parts outraged and delighted that Glenn Williams got to retire after 13 games in 2005 with a career .425 BA
  20. And Sano is off and running...
  21. No Arcia tonight for Rochester. Physics Guy - Look at the April 9 thread started by Jason which helpfully links to all the MiLB box scores
  22. Arcia 3/4. Scampers out an infield single just to break the line drive monotony.
