He was making a joke about the lack of heat on the Twins' fastballs. Yes what you said wasn't controversial, but he was stating the difference between the FB and CU is good enough.
I was wondering where people thought Sano, Buxton, Meyer, Rosario, and other top prospects will start next season. My hope is Buxton AA. And AAA for the other three, but I may just be being hopeful. What do you all think?
Nope, Tim just signed an extension with the Giants. Not sure where you are getting the Mariners from because it would not even be possible for him to sign with another team right now.
Yes it was a very good day for our prospects. Kepler also went to 2-4. It will be interesting to see how he does moving forward. I am not worried about BUxton or Rosario they will do well.
One reason might be we have terrible pitching. No one wants to trade these guys because of our history of bad middle infielders, but pitching is surely a reason to trade one of these guys.
Having two awesome prospect is hope. I never said we were going to win the world series. I said there is hope. Hope is not a guarantee for the future. Next time correcting someone maybe take into account what they say and not assume things not stated. No one is saying the Twins only need a couple of things. We all saw how bad the pitching was, but its not wrong to be hopeful that Buxton and Sano could help lead us into something better. Again, thanks for your well thought out post!
I dont want to personally attack your statement, but I do not think you are being fair in your post. The Twins had a large run of being competitive. They are simply paying for the mistake with HUnter and Santana. Those trades/free agency hurt a team like the Twins. We are able to talk about prospects coming up because we have the 1st and 3rd best prospects coming to Minnesota very soon. It is not a comp out to say the truth.
No one is claiming the Braves were in the right either. Gomez clearly crossed the line and so did the Braves. There is nothing wrong with celebrating a homerun, but Gomez was taunting and probably deserved to be confronted by the Braves. Not sure how you think GOmez was in the right. You cant tell me it is just baseball that has unwritten rules. Back in the day, you know NBA players would have stood up to someone if they were that blatantly crazy.
