  1. Nolan McLean didnt get called up until he was 24 as a top prospect, Hunter Barco until he was 25, every prospect is different and giving up on him at 23 is a flaw of Twins fans It should have nothing to do with "off years" in your eyes, 23 is still young for baseball prospect status
  2. Did I mention any of them in my post? No, I talked about the 23 year olds only. I am a strong supporter of Festa to the pen. Zebby I want to get another shot as a starter, the stuff isn't matching results so give him one last chance. Prielipp I am 50/50 on but if you can keep him a start (because he keeps adding new pitches, rumor is he's adding a 5th), and if you are confident about the elbow, I would try to keep him starting as long as possible. If he ends up a reliever to stay healthy like Festa I understand
  3. Read through the comments, you will see the fanbase disagrees or some do. There are guys, including a guy liking your comments, asking for at least 3+ of our depth to be moved to the pen. It is better to keep them in AAA "wasting bullets" as starters then move everyone to the pen. Look at Bubba Chandler last year as a prime example. Keep your starter quality youth as starters as long as possible. When they fail in the bigs is when you move them to the pen. Duran is the only example of us not doing that. Jax, Louie, Sands, all of the older guys come up as starters always
  4. Assuming they will magically become "top end relievers" is hilarious You are more valuable as a starter. Period
  5. It's crazy to me that Twins fans want to give up on Raya after 1 off season in AAA as a *checks notes* 22 year old for most of the season. He is 23 and will be until August. Guess what has more value in trades, AAA young starters, or AAAA relievers? Stop trying to move every starting pitcher to the pen and immediately counting them out Same can be said for Kendry Rojas, he was 22 all of last season and will spend the entire 2026 season as a 23 year old. Do we not realize as a fan base how impressive it is to even make it to AAA at 22? It would be better to trade pitchers than move everyone to the pen like these comments tend to want to do
  6. Moving 3 starters to the pen is out of the question and would just be malpractice, you would be destroying their value
  7. Not a ton of upper minor talent, but plenty of lottery tickets lower down. Wouldn't mind seeing Schobel getting more chances at 2B over 3B unless his arm is really that good. I really would love to see DeBarge take a step forward this next year, he started really strong and just progressively fell off all season at the plate. BTW Barrios slash line was .254/.352/.361. If you look by month it paints the whole picture, really struggled his first month but bounced back. Real test starts in the FCL.
  8. FYI to anyone interested, Spotrac currently has us at $6,290,000 spent of $7,357,100, so $1,067,100 remaining. Could make sense if Angel Ozuna gets 500k of that still. What's weird is these numbers don't mirror the MLB.com article, so I wonder if some are estimate? Regardless, it's the best we have https://www.spotrac.com/mlb/international/_/year/2026/team/min
  9. The top 9 signings from MLB.com's list add up to $5,302,500, which left them with $2,054,600 to work with on the other 11. Also, if the Angel Ozuna signing happens that's 500k of that. The other names on this list that aren't on the MLB list add up to 435k, which supposedly leaves them with $1,119,600 if all my math was correct for the other however many remaining guys (if I didn't double up math anywhere) https://www.mlb.com/news/mlb-international-prospects-signing-day-2026
  10. I've been looking on twitter for Angel Ozuna news as well, if anyone finds something let us know! Wondering if that year long suspension just isn't quite done yet and the signing will come later?
