    Reasons for optimism: The outfield play has been stellar. The infield has been solid with flashes of brilliance. The bullpen has been solid. Starting pitching has been solid. There is triple A depth that has MLB experience. It is not last year.

    I spent the money for direct tv extra inning because mlb.tv's streaming is crap this year. It's like a bad version of Max Headroom. Turns out, included with Direct TV Extra Innings is a subscription to mlb.tv. So, I get to cancel my mlb.tv subscription. Somehow, I'm okay with that.

    One: The date cancel line will be great for sympathy pickups. Two: So, you were the backup date? Interesting. Three: 23 years left? Imagine the amount of debt you can run up...and then be like a few other cults and realize, after the DAY passes, that you're now saddled with more debt than you can ever repay.
