  1. The real answer to your question: Santiago isn't afraid to pitch up in the zone? (I've not been able to watch Santiago a lot but it appears to me he does pitch up in the zone better than Gibson.)
  2. Yeah, this is why I added the FSN package to Direct TV. Living in CA, the only way to follow the Twins is either MLB.tv or Dish. Fortunately, the cost dropped dramatically this year.
  3. They'll both give up the same number of runs but Gibson will do it in a lot fewer games?
  4. One part of me says that was a pretty good pitch by Gibson, the other wants to know why Gibson insists on living down in the zone against a low ball hitter. Even Bert somewhat diplomatically alluded to pitching down in the zone to a low ball hitter.
  5. Ah, another sign this year just might be a bit different.. How many times did we see the bases loaded, last year, and no runs scored? I seem to recall it started in the first few games of the year and sort of became a habit for the team the whole season.
  6. Of course, I knew all along Mauer was going to get a hit......
  7. And again, the opposing pitcher takes the free strike against Mauer.
  8. I don't know, might make for a very interesting Whine Line.
  9. I take this as a step in the right direction. Santiago did his job and got the team through the 6th only giving up two runs. Really cannot ask much more of Santiago. Forgot to mention: The bullpen did the job also.
  10. Wow, Buxton may have struck out but he can't even get a close call.
  11. And I don't see how, especially in this park, you pinch hit for Buxton.
  12. Maybe the idea was to pitch Castro so he'd hit into the shift and the pitcher failed to execute?
  13. Am I the only one who winced when Santana looked like he was going to try and make the catch Buxton made?
  14. Hey, at least you gave it a shot!
  15. No, I think Bert needs to be cut off.
  16. Wow, Dozier has tagged the ball today. Good solid contact with nothing to show for it.
  17. I'm not sure I understand what you just said.
  18. Only for the Twins. All other teams? Have at it.
  19. Well, in my case, showing ID to purchase liquor is well in the past.
  20. Okay, looked and sounded to me like Dozier's out was loud. Hopefully, that's a good sign.
  21. Please, everyone knows whiskey is only to be poured on Cap'n Crunch.
  22. You could always like until you run out then count your likes. You could also paint a wall and watch the paint dry. Either one contains roughly the same potential for excitement.
