    Excellent article but I cannot bring myself to "like" the article. I just don't think Molitor has what it takes to inspire the Twins. And I don't know why the FO continues to give away games by starting Mr. Hughes. Are they hoping he'll retire so they're not on the hook for his salary? Ah well, so it goes.

    I think it's money and the fact he's been successful in the distant past. Second thought, I'm not sure I even buy what I just typed. No earthly clue at this point.

    Honestly, I think the Twins are giving away games when Hughes starts. Another short start, another time the bullpen is out before it should be. Let's say the Twins had an 8-1 or 8-4 lead going into the 6th and they go to the pen in the 7th. I think it's a different outcome if Reed and, of all things, Pressly are pitching the later innings.

    I could overlook the losses in Tampa, because the Twins hadn't really had a chance to get things going. I could overlook the losses to the Yankees because, well, it's the Yankees. I find tonight to be inexcusable. Oh, and Dick? 8 game losing streak. There is no "put the loss behind" you and get back at it at this point. Dick, there are no positives to tonight's game. Best just call the game and stop rambling.

    It's the managers job to make sure everyone is ready to play. After the 2016 debacle and so far tonight, I have serious doubts as the ability of Molitor to inspire the troops. Plus, managers are always fired when things go south. It's not always fair, but that's the way it has always been. And, the new FO maybe isn't far behind.

    Usually, the sum of the parts is greater than the whole, but, in the case of the Twins, it appears the sum is less than all of the parts combined.
