  3. Well, that was certainly a downer of an observation.
  4. Yeah, losing 2-1 is a tough way to lose, but, much better than losing 10-1. At least the Twins were in it all the way to the end. Unlike some games in the past couple of years. No matter how you slice and dice it, the Twins are getting the pitching they've desperately needed for the last several years.
  5. I want to see a double header in which Romero and Berrios pitch back to back.
  6. There was an article in which Jason Castro broke down how he went about pitch framing. He said he tried to position his body and glove to give the umpire the best view of the ball he could, along with very careful placement of the glove. Bottom line: Moving the glove is for amateurs and true "pitch framing" is incredibly subtle. The way Mr. Castro broke it down made a lot of sense.

  9. I don't get it. What's wrong with what they're wearing?
  10. Except for the hating puppies and kittens part, you could be talking about me.
  11. See, that's an argument I don't get, because dogs are clearly superior. Seriously, would a cat do this:
  12. I've long said "Play .500 ball until the All Star break and anything can happen."
  13. I like the fact Lynn showed some fire and was open about his dissatisfaction with his previous outings. Hopefully, this will lead to better things down the road.
  14. Thumbnail sketch: Berrios gave up two runs early, there was much growsing in the comments over the inability of the Twins to hit another lefty who throws softer than Bartolo Colon. Berrios puts up zeroes, Twins chase the lefty starter, huzzah and then win it on a walk, daring baserunning play by Rosario who capped off his night by snagging a hot line drive against the left field wall. There was much rejoicing and some "what the heck was that that Rosario did" after the win.
  15. I think Bremer got it right when he said that Rosario is one of the most interesting guys on the team.
  16. Well, he can't really run down his employer. however, hearing him sigh as he's talking about another pop-up by the Twins while flailing against another low power lefty is comedy gold, as far as I'm concerned.
  17. So, Detroit is getting on the nerves of the Umpires? The tiger team is showing some spunk? Gee, I know of a team that could use a little attitude injection.
