    raya hasn't properly debuted yet, once he actually debuts, he'll probably be added to the chart.

    Surely the twins can get a big enough lead against Lorenzen that Paredes will get his first major league win today, they haven't lost a game he's started but he's only been given enough innings to qualify once. Shelton's been letting him go longer into games as the appearances increase, so wonder if they might let him go for a 6th or 7th if he's solid today. Will definitely be a challenge though, he has been much less effective against left handed batters both in the majors and in St. Paul and the rockies are running 5/9 LHB not counting Castro as a switch hitter which would make it 6/9. But that could also just be the fact that he's faced twice as many left handed batters as right handed batters so far so the numbers will generally be bigger across the board

    actually they updated it recently, should be Lorenzen vs Paredes and Feltner vs Prielipp. I think they sometimes do openers for those guys too, so last minute we could see that, but those two will show up in some form this weekend

    Even with the twins' defensive woes, you still have to keep in mind that the Rockies' pitching is very shaky and questionable and very easy to take advantage of.

    Unfortunate, but I do think this means it's basically impossible the Twins trade Ryan at the deadline. They can't test the depth further than it is right now if they're feeling remotely in the AL race. Also means they're probably going to stretch Paredes further as a starter if he's the current option. and they're going to have to at least until Ober is back(if that even happens)

    Wrobleski has been getting lucky this year, all his underlying numbers suggest he's supposed to be doing much worse than he actually is, eventually a team has to expose him and hopefully these guys do.

    I definitely think he has room to adjust, seems like they're tweaking some mechanics and it's led to some varied results while they try to hone in on a happy medium between some of improved mechanics and what worked in the past for him. Interestingly enough, despite not having many strikeouts, his whiff rate on his non-sweeper pitches have actually improved across the board compared to his AAA results, however his overall average has dropped because his sweeper, which was his put away pitch, hasn't generated nearly the same amount he got in St. Paul. Have to figure out what adjustments they're going to have to make to try and bring it back up.

    The command wasn't that sharp today, but was still able to get through 5 with only 2ER while surrendering the most walks he's given up in a game. If the offense was sharper today, this would probably look better.

    Struggled to find the zone early in the game and that came back to haunt, but that was a quicker inning. Might be the typical bulk count today, but I'd just let him go as long as he can just to save guys for the Dodgers tomorrow

    I would also prefer this since it makes it more likely Paredes could get his first major league win, but Rojas probably is at most going to get like 2 innings today if he even pitches since he hadn't really ramped up that quickly in rehab

    This team will look so unserious if the corresponding move when Abel is reactivated isn't Lawrence being gone

    I don't think it will be much of a difficult decision, more whether or not it will create another Griffin Jax situation where one of these guys doesn't want to be a reliever even if they're good in that spot and welcomes being traded if it means they will be able to to be tried out as a starter. Assuming Ryan and Ober are shopped around, I imagine the pitching lineup will likely be: Lopez, Prielipp, Taj, Abel, Zebby/Rojas getting the last spot. Festa and Paredes are guys that could probably be starters with some work, but are more better fit to be relievers under this current situation. I think from there, then you have to imagine what the question will be next year when some of the current St. Paul guys might be ready like Gallagher and CJ and hopefully finally Raya, but with their current use in St. Paul, at least 2 of those will likely end up as relievers.

    I wonder if Paredes will be able to extend longer than 3 this time. Part of the reason his outing was cut short last time was the 1 hour+ rain delay that came right after he had already been warmed up, neither him or Framber had as sharp of stuff because of that but Shelton at least knew to pull him sooner than the Tigers pulled Framber. With no chance of a delay like that happening, wonder if he'll actually be able to handle hopefully 5 innings of work and maybe get his first big league win

    a lot of people have been saying they want this and that the team would be dumb not to do this, myself included, so this is either going to be a really fun success story or a lot of people are going to feel real dumb

    To be fair on this one, I don't think they expected Morris would throw 48 pitches through 2 innings. Lots of things went wrong in those 2 innings that led to his opening stint going on longer than they probably planned

    While the fielders are also to blame for completely falling apart that inning, I mainly just don't think Banda needed to come in at all and giving up the only hit the batter he faced got in the 6 ABs he had just proved it was not the right matchup call. Can't even justify it stat wise since Carter Jensen hits lefties better than righties(though his stats aren't remarkable on either side). It felt like Shelton jumping the gun on Paredes being in the only jam he found himself in with the order turning over and wanting to hope a more experienced high leverage guy could bail him out only for the inning to completely go south. Just a questionable management decision.
