  1. Great memory...besides game 6 that was probably the most memorable. I saw his live once in 88 I believe up in Boston. Nothing sticks out for me specifically in that game..just that I saw one of the greats! Miss ya Kirby!
  2. Hard to believe it's been 6 yrs..No reason this man should be dead....unreal!
  3. If Span stays healthy then it's a platoon with Plouffe in LF. Revere right now is a 4th OF/PH/PR.
  4. Yeah Span is really playing scared....1st he did'nt even play enough last yr after the concussion to determine that and 2nd he's already run into a wall and diving all over the place this spring.... yep he's scared to death...Nothing you said so far makes sense.
  5. Agree! and Plouffe can replace Ben vs lefties. I have no problem with Willy in RF.
  6. This is what made rube chat the joke it has become.
  7. Ok so who takes Zumaya's place???
  8. Why not, they have done it in other yrs we were picked to do poorly.
  9. It's been less then a week since I joined Twins Daily but I have to say I am impressed so far....extremely impressed with what Parker, Seth, John and co. have done. I always enjoyed their blogs on the Strib, their attention to detail is what impressed me most. Now I'm not a uber stats guy...BABIP and WAR don't really do it for me but I can only guess it can be pretty time consuming to come up with these stats and put them in a well written column that most everybody can understand and appreciate...it's not easy and these guys make it look effortless. Finally I am thankful that there is now a place where all their thoughts and the thoughts of Twins fans everywhere can be shared in one easy to navigate forum. I am coming from a certain KFAN message board(sure there are a few of you that have hopefully made the switch and know what I am talking about) and I can only say that there is a world of difference between the two. You could see 10 threads on the same thing on one page and they all would be filled with the same mindless chatter, filled with bits and insults and often nothing related to the topic at hand. So again guys thank you for all your hard work and WIN TWINS!

  11. They never have been so I guess I'm used to it, but in TF not sure it matters much, not many go out anyway for either team.
  12. Duensing belongs in the pen, he thrived there before so I say Swarzak and Doyle although I'll admit I don't know much about his career.
  13. Not suprising and not really news IMO.
  14. I think Joe will be fine....listen his health will always be a concern, but 100 games at C and 40-50 at DH/1B should be expected. And Mauer will hit again, no doubt about that. In fact this lineup if healthy will hit, pitching is the much bigger concern for me.
  15. I think Span will bounce back...my bigger concern is how much Revere has improved offensively and how much he will actually play. If he can improve his OBP he will be even more deadly on the base paths. He can easliy swipe 30 or more again....Revere, Span and Carroll could be on base quite a bit and give Joe, Josh and hopefully Justin alot of RBI opp.
  16. Nor should they....i thought they should of gave Plouffe the chance to be the RF before they signed Willy. Now I think he should platoon with Revere in LF with Doumit being the primary DH on days Joe is catching. If anything the Twins have options in the OF and DH...Ben can play CF obviously and Span RF at times. Doumit can play OF and Plouffe can DH some etc... Bottom line is if healthy I think the Twins will hit and their defense, especially the infield should be better. The ? is the starting pitching and the middle relief.
  17. Yeah at least to begin with...Now in June if Mauer and Doumit are healthy then I can see them going to two.
  18. Awesome job guys... rube chat over on KFAN was ruined a long time ago....hopefully this will be a board we can all have fun with actually want to come here.
