  1. Not really. The Twins have a much simpler path to the playoffs than Baltimore. I think you might be over valuing Reyes a tad.
  2. I think a considerable amount of people here think Dean Kremer came into existence back in March of this year. He actually has a track record, and importantly, a small sample size of starts this year. Why people think he's going to start in AAA first is beyond me. He's here for the big-league squad. Plain and simply. And I virtually ALWAYS lean towards trading prospects as so few of them turn into anything better than what the return is. The only critique of this trade in this thread that I understand is that maybe they could get more for Reyes if they held on to him longer.
  3. My stupid MLB app is convinced I'm in Detroit rn....
  4. Any idea why I can't watch this game on MLB.tv even though I have Twins TV? It only gives me the option to listen.
  5. I agree with everyone saying this is a scapegoat and that not much is likely to change with the current folks in charge. Which is why I think they need to hire someone who will at least change the clubhouse vibe. And the right guy is theoretically available: Torii Hunter. We know he wants to manage and he would set a very different tone in the clubhouse. It's just a shame it seems he doesn't have the best relationship with the Twins these days, just recently left the Twins for the Angels, and might get an opportunity to manage the Angels soon. If they do manage to hire Hunter, though, it would be the first positive PR decision they've made in a long time.
  6. I believe he said "Oh drat, I believe I got a tad under that pitch."
  7. Then again, Killebrew didn't need to complain on Twins Daily forums either.
  8. Yeah, St. Paul has the Ford plant and also the larger Hmong population
  9. How could that be the case without completely re-writing the premise of the movie?
  10. Maybe I'm weird, but there's something romantic about watching two teams out of contention after a rain delay.
  11. I'm half expecting to hear that the Twins have traded Cory Provus to the Cubs for the Iowa Cubs pbp guy.
  12. Well I might watch some basketball now. See ya at the Blewett DFA post!
  13. And that's why you don't listen to 2009 MLB the Show...
  14. 2009 MLB the Show would have scolded Wallner for not advancing there.
  15. Remember when people were complaining about Bader's defense earlier? Yeah, I do. And y'all need to chill.
  16. Looked like Buxton flinched with the wall there and honestly I'm fine with that.
  17. As much as I think there are real problems on this team, seeing many in this fanbase waste the whole HOF career of Joe Mauer whining about all the things he wasn't kinda makes me sympathetic to this.
  18. I'm not sure this is entirely necessary, but I personally find it annoying how many relief pitchers teams go through every year. Especially when even with all the extra relievers there are still more position players pitching than every before. I'm not sure how to change it and I don't know if it matters all that much, but it's a personal pet peeve.
  19. I don't think Rocco should be the manager long term, but I kind of feel like it's almost pointless getting rid of him before the team is sold. It's hard to believe any replacement would be set up for success until a new ownership group comes in.
  20. Castro is out there to lower the bullpen's walk rate.
