  1. Nice job, Mr. Carroll. As Bert says, this guy is a veteran hitter.
  2. Morneau has not looked very good lately. I hope he shakes it off.
  3. Oh yeah, and he's a horse too.
  4. Remind me- Pelfrey is still in the game why exactly?
  5. That Liriano trade was good just to save his salary.
  6. Pretty poor route on the ball there by Arcia. Oops.
  7. Nice play there by Florimon. Let's get that 3rd out. Now.
  8. OK, like I said, Correia should be out for the 8th...
  9. Just lost the sound on my MLB.com broadcast. I'm enjoying the game more. Hmmm....
  10. aaaaaaand I'm wrong- Bert says they are taking him out. Dick says the pen needs work. Did I mention I'm happy with Dozier???
  11. Corriea through 7, 5 hits, 1 BB, 5 K's, 2 ER. Not too shabby, KC. Pitch count under 90. The only way Gardy takes him out in the 8th is if the Twins bat around and he freezes stiff on the bench.
  12. and the Doze with a solid liner up the middle.
  13. Nobody cared about pitch counts in my day.
  14. If you ran a bar you'd be liable for over-serving. And KC is out of the second. Routine play for Florimon, terrible throw, great catch and stretch by Dozier.
  15. Whatever KC threw for that swinging third strike was a sweet pitch- low with a lot of break to it.
  16. Yeah, I think people should start with "California math" and gradually work up to "at the major league level". A human can only take so much.
  17. OK, this is a whole different Brian Dozier than I saw last year. I like this model a lot better. He's having fun.
  18. Cheap swinging bunt there- Plouffe made a decent play but he was too deep. Set up the DP anyway. KC rockin'.
  19. The best reality check is to read all the way to the end of the article. "The overriding message is this: Don't get too excited or too down about this year with Correia. Enjoy it while it's good, be prepared for if it gets bad, and help is on the way."
  20. KAAAAAAAA_Boooooooommmmmm! My only regret is I'm not watching on TV to hear Hawk say "Dadgummit" and tell us how the Sox deserved to win.
  21. I understand the argument about closers being overvalued, and I definitely get frustrated when a team blows a lead in a key situation in the 8th with the closer on the bench. Even so, there's still something special when a really good closer starts the 9th. Those of us who lived through the Ron Davis years have a lot to work through.
  22. A lot of people are trying to jinx us, and throwing out meat for the trolls.
  23. De Aza strikeout. Thanks, Burton. Let's keep it going.
