  1. It's whatever about this trade as Bader is a rental. However, still pissed about the return for Duran. See what Mason Miller got? Yeah, I understand he has 4 years of additional control compared to Duran's 2, but the A's clearly got more than double the value the Twins did, and Duran is even better. Even Tyler Rogers, a rental, got more value in return than we did according to Baseball Trade Values (not a super reputable source but something to go off of). Falvey is probably trying to work his way into the Phillies FO after he gets fired here.
  2. A catcher who's 3+ years away and a backend of the rotation guy. Get this FO out of here Edit: Mick Abel's best FIP in the minor leagues is 4.04
  3. It would be a monumental failure to not trade everyone that we possibly can in the bullpen. We have a complete monopoly on the reliever market and not taking advantage of an opportunity like this should get Falvey and co fired by the end of tomorrow.
  4. Hate rooting for the Twins to lose, but don't give them a reason to stand pat at the deadline. This team clearly isn't a contender and needs to sell off pieces.
  5. 12th round pick who touches low 90s on his best day, this was always the likely outcome. It's a miracle we even got a couple good years out of him. Thanks for everything Bailey, but you are beyond cooked.
  6. Ober pitching in Cincy's ballpark is what nightmares are made of. He might give up 5+ homers.
  7. Can't get away with throwing 90 anymore. Ober has to find a way to increase velo or his career isn't lasting much longer. The way it is nowadays.
  8. The "pipeline" that hasn't developed anything better than a #3 starter in a decade of this front office being here?
  9. So now we have 2 proven starting pitchers, and Paddack is arguable in that regard and due to regress at any moment with his peripheral data. This is really, really bad.
  10. Absolutely gutless AB's. This guy would have walked in 5 runs by now if the Twins came to the plate without a bat. Only 12 outs left to do something, essentially 10 with the 2 free outs Lewis is going to provide.
  11. Mariners keep their good bats in the lineup for all 3 games. There is no reason for Buxton to be out of the lineup with an offense this bad.
  12. Yeah they are beyond cooked. Simply don't have the mental to play in the big leagues and are bad defenders and baserunners. Need to get guys like that out of the organization. Alcala being another good example, can't pitch with a runner on base.
  13. Bader not hustling down the line? Totally deserve to lose this game.
  14. Yeah, bad send by Watkins but that's an atrocious read by Wallner. Everybody in the stadium knew that ball was getting down except for him. Bad lead, bad secondary, everything was just bad.
  15. If losing this game means we found out Alcala should never throw another pitch in a game within 10 runs (or preferably St. Paul or another organization) then I guess we'll take it.
  16. Obviously Clemens isn't going to stay this hot forever, but he's got a ton of team control left and he should be a great utility guy for years to come.
  17. Alcala is never the right move if the game is within 10 runs, Rocco.
  18. Yeah if Royce is missing meatballs like that he needs to go to St. Paul for a while.
  19. Even when down it's refreshing to watch. Early in the year this team would have rolled over down 4-0.
  20. Keirsey is just awful. There has to be a better option.
  21. I hate watching Topa pitch. Pitches like he's scared of every hitter. We really bought high on this dude when he had 1 good year in the offensive hell that is Seattle's ballpark.
  22. Essentially a full calendar year for Lee and Lewis being dreadful at the plate. These guys are pretty close to being ruined, it's a shame.
  23. This is the type of loss that derails all the momentum they've built in the past few weeks. Need to pull it out.
