    I am trusting the moderators at the game are not going to do anything that will reflect poorly on TD and damage its reputation as the premier site for sophisticated baseball analysis in a dignified professional environment.

    I don't suppose we play the Astros 15 times in September, otherwise the rest of the season might not be ideal. I would be more ok with the poor record if I thought they was some momentum for next year, but they seem to be regressing. They were more entertaining to watch the first third of the year.

    It is too late -- it looks like Gardy has already led his cat down a bad path (although that looks like Carol's hand). I am actually kind of surprised he did not get the cat hooked on chew instead.

    I wonder if he will start using terms like WARsie and BABIPsie.

    Hopefully he will not have had any concussion history and these symptoms will clear up quickly, for his sake and his family's, and then more selfishly for Twins fans out there. Maybe once he and Mauer are on the same field, their respective bad medical karma will cancel each other out, and time spent on the DL will be strictly in the past tense.

    OK - I decided I am a little too easily swayed, but I am back to thinking that the tide has slowly turned and this August and September will not be as painful as the last few.

    Were you playing at Target Field? I bet you would have been out at the Dome and most other ballparks. Not too bad for someone who did not even do a rehab assignment. Imagine how dialed-in you would have been to go to your league's equivalent of Cedar Rapids for a few games first. Plus, you would have given the fans down there a big thrill.

    I am sure they respect you as one of their elders and not give you any payback. No doubt he asked you, because he knew the maturity and gravitas you would bring to the game and useful old song and movie information. Hopefully you won't kick dirt on any opposing team logo when you go up to bat.

    You can't blame the spring flooding on Mauer, that was Anderson's fault.

    I suppose you should never go by one game, and this is the Astros, but he was actually kind of Joe Mauer like the couple of weeks prior to his DL stint. Hopefully he will have a solid last 6 weeks.

    I am guessing there are a bunch of people on the Strib page upset because they were all ready to post a comment how Mauer is not clutch and only hits meaningless singles and has destroyed the Twins, the moose population, and the water level of White Bear Lake. I liked Dead Poet's Society when it came out. It would be interesting to see what I think of it as an adult. I saw it at that age when you tend to think a lot of things are deep. I thought he did some good voice work for Aladin.

    Everyone knows that "A" is a clown letter bro(s). The thing that might reflect more on his character is his complete denial of knowing he did it in post-game interviews (unless he really did not know he did it). Just acknowledge it and say it was poor judgment done in the heat of the moment.

    Funny how quickly the video stores disappeared. When I lived there there was Hollywood Video (before that Title Wave), Blockbuster, and Panorama video within two blocks. They all were pretty full with customers when you went inside them. Ok - now I think I can go to bed.

    I did as well - and 90% of the time went for the raspberry choc chip with the waffle cone. I also remember when Lyle's had the big cheese block during happy hour just a block away. Did not always eat healthy back then.. I don't think I am going to make it to the end- I am hoping that they will rally in the 7th and 8th and wint the game. I will kick myself for going to bed and missing the comeback, but I can live with that if it means a win.

    Phil M was just talking about this on the radio - mentioning how Seth/TD is a great source for minor league info and how Seth "is rarely wrong" (I am assuming he was just referring to baseball there).

    I think there was a Star Trek episode where Spock was given too much great knowledge at once and it drove him to madness. I would hate for anyone to be driven insane by too much of Brian's wisdom and secrets of the universe.
