  1. Old school.....tough.....hold players accountable.....lots of knowledgeable, experience, fore sight, and insight. Uses analytics and other modern helpful tools but still has total confidence in his "gut" feelings and applies his experience in an intelligent and thoughtful manner. And ain't afraid to run and apply some athletic ability to the style of play. Peace, out!
  2. Do anyone of us really care? Anyone "sweating" next years team is delusional. Trade anyone you can. i'm still a Twins fan but couldn't care any less about who is coming or going. Hopefully the new owners have deep pockets and we can pick up some solid ballplayers in free agency.
  3. Current or historical?

  4. Geez.......could you list a few more players?
  5. #1, #2' or #3. Go for it! For God's sake its been 34 years since we've been in the World Series. Love all the "Ball-guys" looking to keep prospects and build a "perennial long time contender"...... Please......34 years and that's your strategy? Royce Lewis and Miranda, Wallner, Brooks Lee etc.....great prospects right? Give me a break...... Trade anyone someone else wants for a valuable " rental". We DON'T sign great ballplayers in free agency. Quit kidding yourselves on building some outstanding - longtime great ball club. AIN'T GONNA HAPPEN BOYS!
  6. Love being a Twins fan, but that doesn't make me obligated to pledge my allegiance to an ownership that only cares about profit when seeking bids on the sale of the team. Can't remember being less excited about an upcoming season. Like ownership just sucked the life out of me. Sad.
  7. Looks strong. Really excited to match up against the Yankees, Baltimore, Astros, Cleveland, Detroit and KC. Should be an exciting year. Probably won't be purchasing Fubo again or whatever streaming service broadcasts the games but I'll be reading and listening to what's available. Naw.... I think I'll put in as much effort towards the team as their ownership does. Just hope the boys don't get "tuckered-out" this year. 150 minutes of work each day (minus sitting in the dugout or standing in the field) can be incredibly taxing. Loved Royce.......not so much anymore. And don't worry guys.....I WILL find other things to occupy my time.
  8. Didn't read a word of this article or any of the replies.......just wanted to comment about the Tiger's win just now. A ball club with a lot of heart. So much different then watching the hapless, flailing Twins. Just really refreshing watching a hungry, motivated group of players not intimated by whomever they are playing that day. Royce got worn out and tired by playing baseball. What a difficult and taxing job. Really lost a lot of respect for this team over the season.
  9. I'm a Twins fan who actually is cheering for the Tigers to make the playoffs. Honestly, does anyone want to see this team in playoffs. Give it to a team with some "spunk & pop".
  10. Good "wake-up"......... Sorry if his feelings are hurt. Mediocrity means you get a pat on the back? Don't have the energy to see how much he makes per year but he will be fine.
  11. I say we make the playoffs (do much there, I doubt it). We go 500% at 14-14 = 87 wins (funny, while I'm typing this the Blue Jays hit a 2 run home run and were down 2-0 in the first inning). Whoops, another home run, down 4-0 in the first lol). Anyway, I ain't quitting now...... Red Sox need to go 18-9. 7 games left w/ NYY & Baltimore Seattle needs to go 19-8. 3 w/ Houston (pretty easy schedule left). And Detroit has to go 20-6. (5-0 now, in the first ouch!...) Whoops, now 7-0 in the first! They have 10 games left w/ Cleveland, SD, Atlanta & KC. Thought I had a legit argument........ LOL...... Oh well I can dream right!!!
  12. Like I mentioned on June 17th, all the trade talk is fun and interesting (but 99% poppycock). But in reality they even outdid themselves with this pathetic trade. Why? What was the point?
  13. Never happen. Great to talk about though. They (Twins) will make a VERY mediocre trade or two at best. I do enjoy reading all the contributors and appreciate the work they put in. But its 99% poppycock!
  14. He didn't live up to his end of the bargain here. Stay in some kind of shape. Be serious, committed, and grateful for the opportunity and financial commitment you received. Don't wish him any success and/or failure. Don't care either way.
  15. Unfortunate absolutely. Come up lame just running the bases.......????? I imagine no one understands why these issues come up but it does seem common to the Twins. I mean they train most of the year I would imagine.....they jog, run, walk and stand for how many weeks at ST. And they can't run from first to third without injury? Freak occurrence......I guess? P
  16. I think all of the marketing ideas mentioned in the article are great. I get the whole "gotta' win" and the fans will return thing but there have to be more unique and thought out plans to increase attendance. If you went to all 81 home games last year you would have traded a win for a loss in 68 of those games as they finished 13 games over 500 (if that makes sense....now I'm getting confused). Anyway, looking forward to the season and going to subscribe to DirectTV Streaming for the season because I saw very few games last season.
  17. I looked at Juan Soto, Bo Bichette, Fernando Tatis, Corbin Carroll, and Gunnar Henderson and from what I saw they all debut In MLB 3 years after being signed/drafted. I looked because I thought maybe the younger MLB players were starting to make an impact much sooner than in the past (influenced by the NFL I suspect). Wishful thinking and little patience. Oh well, I taught myself something I guess.
  18. Can you repeat the part where you said about the stuff? Yikes! Way to deep for me.
  19. Rebuilding? Geez I hope not. Rebuilding in MLB takes what..... Two - three years. Get a couple plug-in-play ballplayers and "let's go". I know it's not that easy but really? Just take a shot at it (championship) what do we have to lose.......another 2, 3, 5 years of " maybe in a year or two". That's what we want......seriously......
  20. Why are we (fans) always waiting for next year or the year after that? No guarantee any of the three have great careers from this point forward but I wouldn't hesitate. Highly doubt we would pay Burnes enough to keep him long term though.
