  1. I'd be okay seeing Keuchel come in to clean up Gray's one crappy inning.
  2. The Tigers have a core. The Guardians have a rotation. The Twins have both. The Sox have a comedy show .
  3. Because of the expectations they cannot be a surprise but they are certainly capable of being a disappointment.. which plays right into psychology of the Minnesota Professional Sports Fan.
  4. I like the power but I am more pleased that while he does strike out, he does not squander scoring opportunities at the rate other Twins seem to. When Taylor kicks off an inning by getting on base, good things usually happen.
  5. That would be great but you know it will be Larnach.. or the return of Willi..
  6. It's sad that the popular and well liked guys in the clubhouse (Polo, Farmer) may not be around to mentor the young players on their way up. But the numbers game says it's so. Having said that Polo and Solano (and maybe Castro) have shown the flexibility and prowess that should make the team keep maybe two of them if not all 3. Gallo, Farmer, maybe Gordon and Larnach, thanks and good luck..
  7. If they could have seen they would have needed more runs they should have snuck Luplow in there. Sad day Solano picked to go 0-5.
  8. A fun game for the fans at least. The Twins had chances to pad the lead despite Maeda not having his best effort but you let a team you have trouble with hang around, you find out. I guess Jax is now in the Jorge Lopez spot of the pecking order..
  9. I really thought they might trot Keuchel out there. Hell they are making it a game.. maybe they will have to!
  10. I agree but looking at Winder flounder and Headrick there are more low leverage arms than one would like in a pennant race bullpen..
  11. It's a whole different game pitching with a three run deficit versus a one run lead, but I have to think Jordan Balazovic has passed Griffin Jax in the "high leverage order" after today's implosion. If Rocco Baldelli would have thought the same going into today, the result might be better than it is. Probably I'd have them ranked Thielbar/Pagan/Balazovic-Duran, if the game is on the line. And give Jax the Jose Lopez situations. Brock? Soon?

  13. I guess it's 'fortunate' Willi got 'hurt'.
  14. Not even a Cleveland or Tigers game to scoreboard watch.
  15. By the time the Lions are in first place, we will know.
  16. I think you could likely pluck Maeda in a break the glass for emergency scenario.
  17. Maeda: "Rocco, don't lose that number you don't want to call nobody else.."
  18. Yesterday they said Gallo couldn't hit. Today they said Julien couldn't field. Oh and Gallo closes things down at the end..
  19. I wasn't sure about the wisdom of Julien batting 9th, but the sequence of events from him to Solano and Polanco worked to our advantage twice today. Nice work guys (And Rocco)
  20. At the very least, if Julien is at first he won't be catching Julien's tosses from 2nd.
  21. Or if he is poor with the glove he will be poor with the glove at 1st.
