  1. Now we can tune into the Saints game. Zebby has 3 shutout innings so far in a tidy 35 pitches. Offense lagging so far.
  2. I love the light use of ABS challenges today. Saving them all for Jeffers in the 9th.
  3. I'm watching through the Twins.tv on the MLB app on my TV, which is why I was surprised by the commercial. Maybe it's tailored to my TV market even though it's MLB.TV. Thanks for the info!
  4. I'm going to apologize in advance for being political, but I want to ask a question. Is anyone else seeing a commercial with Tucker Carlson? I'm just surprised that it would be on a Twins broadcast is all. The views on Tucker doesn't matter, it just surprises me that such a commercial would be on.
  5. I could have seen him going batter by batter into the 8th, but it appears like he is done.
  6. Great job by Larnach drawing the walk. A great job by Lauer as well in giving the Jays some length after the disastrous 3rd inning.
  7. Makes sense. Maybe given both have mediocre arms, you give the weaker fielder the position that he is most comfortable playing. I know that Larnach has played more RF than Martin. If you consider Larnach the weaker fielder, it may make more sense playing him in the position he is more comfortable playing.
  8. If you look at the dimensions of Rogers Centre. There is slightly less ground to cover in RF. This may help Martin with a weaker arm. I would also suggest that Martin's speed will help Buxton cover for Larnach in LF.
  9. Bases loaded. Jays have the Twins right where they want them. Incoming GIDP.
  10. Brooks Lee: Who is this Culpepper character people keep talking about?
  11. I don't hate the lineup. I had stated yesterday that Wallner needed a day off and that his bat was becoming worse than Larnach in the field. I like that Morris was called up. Possibly a glimpse into the future. Many of our best pitchers started here as a call up for a reliever.
  12. I was going to suggest Altavilla, but I also see that he is not on the 40-man roster. I don't see Raya coming up just yet. He just pitched tonight in Toledo, and I would surmise that if he was to be brought up that they wouldn't have pitched him.
  13. Shelton update: Lewis and Laweryson both going on the IL. Getting a fresh face in the bullpen will be helpful, but I'm sad for Laweryson since he was looking to be one of the better options out of the pen. Lewis just seemed to be doomed after he tweaked his knee yesterday.
  14. I noticed right before the game started. While I still want the Pohlads to sell, It does seem that Tom is not oblivious to the world and understands that he needs to pull out all the stops to try to get rears in the seats.
  15. Someone forgot to tell them that these aren't Twins hitters that this bullpen is facing. The Jays will swing at fastballs, especially middle-middle. Only the Twins hitters let middle-middle fastballs go by.
  16. I wouldn't expect that anyone would fear Wallner enough to bring in a pitcher just for him.
  17. Like I said earlier in this thread. It is looking like Wallner needs a day off. His offensive woes are affecting his fielding.
  18. I'm pretty sure the Blue Jays didn't sign Corbin because they wanted him. They were likely desperate since their team, especially their starters, are largely on the IL. I'm not sure if there is another starter out there currently that the Jays could have signed that would be better. If he can limit the Twins to just the three runs, he did his job keeping the Jays in the game with the hope that the offense can bail him out.
  19. A quality start is where a starter goes 6 or more innings and gives up 3 or less runs. That is an ERA of 4.50. Corbin is still riding that line.
  20. I posted in the Jeffers story earlier today that his improvement in pitch framing will help him. I think Vlad Jr saw Jeffers move his glove back in the zone and thought he was stealing a strike, causing him to challenge the pitch, almost baiting him to challenge and lose.
  21. Wallner desperately needs a day off to clear his head. I would even consider putting Larnach out in the field to give Wallner a day off.
