  1. Bit of a tightrope job by SWR so far. Twins need to scratch some runs across.
  2. Must have left the sausage in the clubhouse or something.
  3. Four seamer is topping out at 92 MPH today. That's the danger zone for SWR.
  4. SWR answers with a scoreless bottom of the 1st...
  5. Based on his stat line, Irvin throws a lot of junk. Guessing he'll keep his breaking stuff out of the zone and hope the Twins chase. Been the Achilles heel for a while now. Have some plate discipline and force him to throw strikes. Do that and they could tee off.
  6. Summer Sausage reigns supreme!
  7. It is wild to me how dependent this team is on a summer sausage...
  8. Hopefully last night is the start of a hot streak for Buck. When's he on, the Twins are just a much better team.
  9. Exact same record last year at this time. It's not so much the Twins failing to meet expectations as it is Cleveland and Kansas City being so much better.
  10. Came to play today. Need to keep it going tomorrow. Joe Ryan, when he's on, is a staff ace.
  11. Kepler's in the middle of the best stretch of his career and Rocco's afraid to hit him against a lefty - and a lefty that isn't very good.
  12. I wish someone in the media would ask Rocco the question because there's no reasonable explanation.
  13. Manny Margot leading off! This is getting ridiculous. At least put Kepler in the lineup so Jeffers can catch. You will not convince that this team is better with Vazquez in the lineup and Max on the bench - I don't care if its a lefty pitcher.
  14. Yeah, Max is on the biggest hot streak of his career and Rocco still wants to play the lefty-righty game. Zero feel and stubborn beyond belief.
  15. You're not alone. A lot of head scratchers from Rocco.
  16. As for Buxton, I don't know - he might just be a sunken cost at this point. He definitely looks to have lost some bat speed and the elite athleticism that made him so special in CF is starting to wane. His best years are behind him.
  17. The other problem when evaluating Correa's bat - if I'm an opposing pitcher - I'm not giving him anything to hit. Rarely are guys on base when he comes up to hit and more often than not, he has someone like Manny Margot or AK hitting behind him.
  18. This. People don't appreciate how good Correa is. And I'm willing to bet that he's the one that organized the players only meeting and spoke up the loudest. One of the best leaders in the sport.
  19. Yasmani Grandal effectively ended Anderson's career. There was some type of altercation in the White Sox clubhouse last year and Grandal did to Anderson what Jose Ramirez did. He never recovered from it mentally. As for Smeltzer, absolutely. Easy to root for him and hope he finds a spot on an MLB roster.
