    And may i ask who hires and fires the scouting director? Even though the scouting director recomends player x , is it not Mr. Ryan who has the final say? If the draft has nothing to do with Terry fine, me bad ,Then i sugest we fire who ever is in charge, and try to pry away from Tampa and St. Louis a couple assistant scouting directors.

    Ok go through and name all the players drafted under Mr. Ryan who have contributed to the twins mlb team? im guessing over 700 drafted and another 300 non drafted signees and how many have made it to the show/ and out of that number how many have made a serous impact? im guessing 40 made it to the show and 12 have made impacts.me im to lazy to look it up , but i betcha im not far off with these numbers

    Just remember Cdog , that Terry siad the key player of the trade was Boof....Liriano was forced on us....is 1 of the reasons i refer to this trade as Ryans lucky trade, not something to build an 18 year career on to me

    Seth mentioned , for a culture change it needs to be a complete sweep from the instructional leaques to the front office ....totally agree, but for me it is more important to have the best teachers in the game at the lower levels, why do we have mlb players who cant hit a cutoff man or know how to bunt or steal a base?im guessing joe will be the next manager as a player manager and jake will be his bench coach....so if we are going to improve it needs to be in the minors in develpoing players and in drafting and scouting

    And kevin Correia is that much better? If nothing else it saves signing a minor leaque filler, or maybe a fresh start and Lannon has a decent season for us , or is trade bait for colorado or san diego

    welcome aboard patmearesfan dont let the negitive responses get to you. but here at Twins Daily (as i should know best) they are looking for a more softer appraoch and no name calling . Also the guys running this site are prof.writers , they get on me all the time because i dont spell a name correcty or you the proper punctuation. dont worry tone it down some and have a good time on this or any site... To me if your fan you deserve to have a voice, but this is a little more toned down site , in due time you will see whos a management fan and who isnt . While many here feel the same way as you do , most would agree the time for changing leadership was in october. The cards have been dealt so lets see if we can bluff our way to a semi decent season , sit back and enjoy watching the players and the kids develope....

    dont we have first rights on claiming DFA players because of our lossing season?if we claim him and cant make a deal , or if we dont offer enough , then they have to pull him back or start the prosess over or he goes to the next worse team who filed a claim?

    wish we had bunting ability in our #2 hitter last year and hope this year he will be an improvement in that department... last years team we a joke when i came to laying down a bunt

    I hope Terry signed Hawkeye and Trapper john also with every walking wounded pitcher coming to the Minnesota rehab center,we are going to need some meatball surgery, for our meatball pitchers (rehab was stolen from another poster)

    What has he done John? He traded 2 mlb starters for a sore armed starter, a double A struggler and a single A pitcher? Or are you referring to his payroll slashing moves?While the moves were decent I believe other generals could have done as well or better. If nothing else he should have gotten Washington to throw in Lannon , a player they were going to non tender any way....

    Where is Kyle Gibson on this list? Recovering from T.J. , never been in the show, has about 270 innings pitched in the minors, he is not a sure fired mlb ,Yet Many are predicting Kyle to be a #3 or even a #2, but remember he is a 2 time sore armed pitcher who maybe needs to be in the pen if he wants any kind of career, you know save on the wear and tear of his arm

    yes i to noticed about 250 missing at bats for the middle infield , along with great pleasure seeing very limited playing time for Drew,but still have 1300 plate apperences for catcher and dh spot

    We could claim Tony Campanas , 327 mlb plate apperences and a .262 avg, along with 54 stolen bases, left handed and would complement Mastroanni ....

    Ok team , it is a long season and we are running a marathon not a sprint, and this will be 2 seasons in part part 1 we need for our veterans to get off to a great start , if you struggle , we will trade you to non playoff teams , but if your having MVP type season we will trade you to contenders, Part 2 for the rookies , go out there and try not to hurt your selfs and later in the season we will see where you stand in our future....And Joe, would you concider restructuring your contract so we can pocket bigger payroll slashing bonuses?
