  1. The young guys have not worked, either while being not as good as the vets brought in.
  2. https://www.mlb.com/news/2025-gold-glove-award-winners First base: Ty France, Twins/Blue Jays France, who began the season with the Twins but was traded to the Blue Jays prior to the July 31 Trade Deadline, has won his first career Gold Glove Award after a stellar defensive showing at first base. He is the second first baseman to win the honor in Toronto’s history, joining Vladimir Guerrero Jr. (2022). France led all first basemen with +10 Outs Above Average in 2025.
  3. You do not develop any one into a top line player; they either have the ability or they do not. Coaches in AAA and the Majors are not some miracle potion to make honey out of vinegar. You have to shop to top line athletes, either when they come to the minors or hit the Bigs.
  4. Back-Up Pereda, LOL - LOL, that would be like having Kepler back-up Sano in right field.
  5. Is This the Offseason Rhys Hoskins Finally Signs With Minnesota Twins? Hope NOT.
  6. Wallner is starting to look like Sano in Right Field; major loss for the 'Twins. Wallner (Lurch) Kepler
  7. Yep, they have proven they can handle Major League Baseball, 🤠 we have no idea which will be good enough and which will another Keirsey Jr. in the bigs.
  8. Looking at this I would say the collapse started in June.
  9. Pereda makes Jeffers look like Johnny Bench.
  10. Kreidler has an OPS of .383 and fielding average of .974; Gasper has an OPS of .445 and fielding average of .982. Try again, but I hope Kreidler is given a good shot.
  11. Hmm, what you said about Clemens sounds a lot like Lewis. Lurch at 1st, heaven help us.
  12. Lewis is moving better at 3rd but with his throws to First you still need a very good glove at First., Lee was pretty good at Third, so move Lewis to First and Lee to Third. Lee is just plain not good at SS due to his lack of range. Put Fitzgerald at SS, as he would be better than Lee. s
  13. The Wise Ass on the Mountain remark is based on what?
  14. Ah, Wallner, Joey Gallo with Julien's glove! 😆 ;BUT, what about Keirsey Jr.and McCusker, they were some of your wonder boys.
  15. AT least many TD gents anticipate their boys in AAA to be so FAR, FAR better than the veteran pros, they are poor replacements for. 🤩 Some times it seems some do not care how the Twins do , all they want is their rookie boys to play , regardless of how far below what they are bragged to be, they actually are. All they need it more time to learn, improve, be given a chance. -- The Chambers Bros. spoke the truth about their time: Now the time has come There's no place to run I might get burned up by the sun But I had my fun I've been loved and put aside I've been crushed by a tumbling tide And my soul has been psychedelicized (Time)
  16. It will never happen, but that is some thing I have always wanted to do. Although, when I ride a train, at least before welded rail, the clickety-clack and wobbling car would put me to sleep quickly. I would probably not remember much . 🥸
  17. IF - only if they have shown they deserve to be given a shot at the Bigs; hitting AAA pitching is not major league. A fair amount who do well with AAA pitching, are far out classed by Major League pitching, while their gloves seem to be some thing new to them. It is called Major League, not Little League try outs. The so called Prospect ranking system seems to be a list by wishful thinkers but it is a bible to a lot of posters here.
  18. Let's see in 2019: Gone - from starters Mauer Escobar Dozier Cave Grossman Adrianza In - for starters Cron Schoop Sano Buxton Cruz Gonzalez Cron, Schoop, Cruz, Gonzalez were not one of the "youths" so many here think are wonder boys, yet the team yet the team went from 78-84 to 101-61. The only way the Twins will continue to be lousy , is if they keep relying on AAA wonder boys.
  19. Larnach had better defense numbers, and similar offense numbers this year than Wallner; get rid of Wallner and keep Larnach.
  20. Ryan is starting to look like another gopher ball Blyleven, but does he have the positive attributes Blyleven had?
  21. OH MY -- That would be a AAA team that would win fewer games than the Saints did for Gardenhire.
  22. He has a strong arm, good, but he is Slow. What bothers me most is his numbers at 3rd, where last year he was very, very good. If he is losing it at 3rd, then SS, which is far more difficult, will probably be a problem. The Twins cannot afford to give up runs/base runners due to a slow, ineffective infield, if their hitting was not a - here-there-here-there - affair, it might be different. As is, they will, probably, need late inning defense replacements, which was necessary for Baldelli.
  23. When Fitz was SS and Martin at 2nd, they made Lee and Keaschall look like they were going in slow motion.
