    All these bunts are terrible. Just baffling. I am infintely more tolerant of Rosario trying to steal. Sometimes it doesn't work.

    If they sign a dh, they'll want some positional value with him, either as a corner of or 1b. You could start with a bench of vet C, Adrianza, Escobar and Grossman. Have Rosario or Kepler fill in cf when Buxton needs a day. Starting the season with Granite, Garver, Gordon in the minors is some actual, legitimate depth.

    In the past month Duffey hasn't pitched on fewer than 3 days. Nkt sure what more rest will do. Rogers was worked a little heavy the last week, but before that he was getting some decent rest between appearances. They need wins now.

    Palka wouldn't see the field. They are trying to win. Same with Reed, have him go to extended and prepare for next year. Tonkin is going to be an emergency mop up man, good chance he doesn't even pitch this month (at least in a game that matters).

    Not exactly fun to talk about, but Sano has missed significant time the past two seasons. Really nice to have an acceptable backup. Lets Sano DH as well. I suspect there is enough room on the roster for Escobar and Adrianza.

    Rhett does tweet about bunts in real time, so at least he taps into his blogger side. I imagine it's a pretty secondary story to include in a gamer considering how the game shook out.

    I was surpsied that Vargas wasn't used therrle, I wonder if it had something to do with Vargas and velocity. The one other quibble I had, was after Garver pinch hit, they should have kept him in to catch and had Granite replace Gimenez.

    Giving a guy just called up one start seems a reasonable thing to do.

    And really, all "figured it out" would mean in the immediate future is that he is an acceptable back end guy for $5 mil next year.

    I'm not a big Slegers guy, but it was dubious to give Gee the start over him last night. I hope they don't make that decision again. Does seem possible Mejia gets it over both of them.

    The only one on this list I'd put ahead of Thorpe is Gonsalves, and that is only because he's closer. 2-4 of those guys won't be added.
