No, hang onto Duensing. He can be used in the Kershaw trade.

If I'm half right I should get a trophy too.

    AKA the Curse of Sorrento.
  4. notoriousgod71
Nevermind, I'm an idiot. You are correct.

I'm with you, Chief. I used to love that show, but I couldn't even tell you one guy that's on it right now. I haven't watched ESPN for anything other than an occasional baseball game or college basketball game in at least two years. ESPN, as a whole, has gone down the drain quite rapidly.

To be fair one of the starts he left after three with an injury and then was put on the DL.
  7. notoriousgod71
has allowed four hits in his last four games started. I wonder if that has ever happened before.
  8. notoriousgod71
    Mauer under .270.
  9. notoriousgod71
Yes, but then I wouldn't classify that as being "fine". He should get Chris Sabo goggles.
  10. notoriousgod71
If Santana is "fine" and taking ground balls why is he unavailable to play?
  11. notoriousgod71
Mauer is really in a no win situation at this point. If he continues being himself people will complain about not being a vocal leader and having no fire. If he suddenly turns the corner and becomes a "Rah rah" guy the same people will call him fake (and probably rightfully so at that point).
  12. notoriousgod71
With out training staff Santana will need TJS after three months of rest and rehab.
  13. notoriousgod71
    Arcia's demeanor is great.
  14. notoriousgod71
Listening to Dick talk about how often he is getting robbed of a sure double is getting old though. He's not getting robbed if he hits it right at the left fielder. How many hits do you think Ortiz has been "robbed" of during his career because he hit it right at the 2b that's roaming the outfield?

Touki has only been playing baseball for four years so that could bode well for his future health if you are a fan of the "There's only so many bullets in the chamber" theory. The comps I've seen compare him favorably to a young Dwight Gooden.

Chris Denorfia If you ask the same question about a fifth starter I would look back to SD and say Tim Stauffer.
  17. notoriousgod71
Wainwright, Cain, and Carpenter are all better than Radke was. If he ends up being Radke, fine, but I think our goal should be higher than that.
  18. notoriousgod71
I can't say whether Nola is better than, worse than, or equal to Radke but I think we need to shoot higher than Radke with pick number five.
  19. notoriousgod71
If Kolek is available and we pass on him everyone should be fired.
  20. notoriousgod71
I disagree. I thought it was a good trade for the Rangers at the time. The difference between what Fielder and Moreland should be is quite a bit greater than the difference between Kinsler and Profar. It's just bad luck for Texas that they're both out for the season.
  21. notoriousgod71
I wonder if Hicks knew who he was facing that AB.
  22. notoriousgod71
Why has Arcia been playing every day for two weeks in Rochester if he's still "sore"? No one is allowed to play at the big league level with any ounce of soreness.
  23. notoriousgod71
Maybe it's just Twins pitching. He wasn't hitting in another stratosphere when he faced major league pitching.
  24. notoriousgod71
Ortiz another home run. Gardy: "That's not how we do things around here."
  25. notoriousgod71
Oh, is the bullpen overworked again? Send down some of our excess outfielders and call up a couple relievers...
