  1. Okay, this is driving me nuts: there = a place "Tommy ran over there." their = ownership "Tommy ran over their dog." they're = they are "Tommy ran over their dog over there. They're pissed at him." Thanks. Sweet you'are a 100% their there they're expert. I'd rather be an expert on economics and math, but thatare'is my problem.
  2. Spains pretty good but the USA would have beat them by 30 if they needed to and cared enough.
  3. Dougout box seats for $15!!! I love rain
  4. Batting 10th and Catching Drew Butera
  5. It won't take much for Obama to scare seniors? Keep up the ads accusing Romney of murder. Good luck with that one. When you basically tell the voters you think there idiots who will buy anything you tell them it doesn't work out to well. If Obama wants the senior vote he better either start telling the truth or figure out how to become white.
  6. About 60% will vote in this election, which means the 40% can keep there heads in the sand if they want. The rest of us will vote based on the real fiscal crisis we are facing. I want the economy fixed for the long term, and if that means benifits have to be ajusted downward in the short term so be it. As for moderates who cares as long as Obama's team keeps accusing Rommney of major crimes with no evidence the moderates will stay home or vote Rommney.
  7. It depends if Obama can convince us he eats babies or not. Worst economy ever and Obama is unwilling to fight on the issues.
  8. 10% chance the season starts on time. Good thing we have college hockey. LETS GO HUSKIES!!!
  9. Game changer!!!
  10. I missed the part where this ball bounced into the stands. Dislike Delmon all you want but on that play the last thing he should have done was go after the ball, the umps awarded 3 bases on something that was a possible double that has nothing to do with the left fielder.
  11. The Vikings have proven for 20 years there always proven QB's available.
  12. I have to admit today alone I got $3 million worth of entertainment out of him. Maybe it's performance art
  13. How about the greatest minor leaguer of all time Bernardo Brito
  14. It's amazing how good some of those late 90's lineups were
  15. Rich Becker and Scott Stahoviak were alright I'd say Todd Walker and Valencia were worse.
  16. It's only bad logic if theres no other way to get pro bowl QB play. The Vikings have proven thats not the case. It's a scarce position, but it's not like elite starting pitching or elite goal scorers in hockey or elite point guards. I can live with using 2nd round picks on QB's until one hit's but you can't use two first round picks on QB's in 3 years. The kid from USC is not in the same class as Luck Newton or RG3. He'll be picked #1 because the best QB always is if he's at least competent, but he's probably not a top 10 pick talent. The best approach is to trade down a few spots take and the QB if he's still there, but overvaluing a guy because you hope he's on your roster 8 years down the line is silly.
  17. How do these investigations of players betting on sports start? This stuff just looks fake at this point.
  18. Sometimes QB's taken in the top 5 aren't very good at football for example Rick Mirer, Akili Smith, Alex Smith, JaMarcus Russle, Ryan Leaf, Vince Young, David Carr, Joey Harrington, Tim Couch. I'm sick of 35 year old's finishing there career as Vikings, but that approach is actually very logical. Drafting QB's is like drafting goalies in hockey, unless they are hall of famers or close to it they are a waste of a pick.
  19. The point is there are just as many elite later picked QB's as elite top 5 pick QB's. If you have a top 5 pick you can not skrew it up and drafting a QB is the easiest way to skrew it up.
  20. Meanwhile on the left wing nobody is bothered by Harry Ried, I guess when the entire party is fringe nutjobs nobody notices. Meanwhile John McCain is a hero to the left except for a couple months in 2008 when he was pure evil, and wanted to eat your babies.
  21. Bachmann is a mouth piece for the people of her district, but also very much a creation of the media. You have to listen to Rightwing radio to hear the same sort of things from the left, but when you put together selective quotes and stories from Obama Pelosi or Ried they easily become nutjob clueless idiots too. In the end you need to be able to see through all this and make a selection based on things that actually matter. Someone in Delaware thinking less of your state or district will never matter, just as someone in North Carolina wondering how the hell Keith Ellison got elected will never matter.
  22. Never use early 1st round picks on QB's. For every Peyton Manning theres 2 Akili Smiths. Tom Brady, Drew Brees, and Aaron Rogers can be had without being fools.
  23. Telling someone what they want to hear is great if it's what you actually believe, but if I'm fighting for my rights I'm thankful that I know where a Michele Bachmann stands as opposed to Al Franken Barack Obama and Keith Ellison who will tell you what you want to hear but in reality have never lifted a finger for the cause. The reality is the Democrats wish this issue didn't exist because many of them agree with Michele Bachmann on the issue.
  24. Valencia only sees the majors again as a September call-up, he has less then 100 non september at bats left in his career.
  25. Which politicians on the left are actually supporting gay Marriage, because to me it seems like it's just Gavin Newsome. I'll give Biden credit to because I think his support was his actual opinion and not a political play but he has about the same amount of political power as my dog in his current position. The younger generation on the right in many cases was vocal in supporting gay marriage including John kriesel. Until the ballot amendment is leagalize it or state government votes on it I don't really care about the issue. The amendment in Minnesota will pass, but really will not change anything in a meaningful way it will simply mean instead of 52% supporting it we're still sitting closer to 40%
