  1. Does Pudge, Jr have the control to be a pitcher? I remember reading he hit 95 on the radar but if he can't throw the ball over the plate it's of no use.
  2. Bullpen needs help and Rochester looks like they could use help in the starting lineup.
  3. Any costume ideas for the annual hazing? The first group theme that popped into my head was dressing them like the Avengers. Scott Diamond-Captain America Tyler Robertson-The Incredible Hulk Cole Devries-Thor Liam Hendricks-Hawkeye
  4. Buxton is starting to hit at Elizabethton. Interesting Chris Hermann led off playing catcher and had a home run and three rbi's.
  5. I dunno about that, pitchers from this era are going to be viewed differently in the future. Nobody is going to be approaching 300 wins again, and the days of 20+ year careers are going to go by the wayside more or less. Santana has put together 7.5 fantasic seasons thus far, if he can get 2 more fantastic years, and a couple "decent/good" years he should make it. I hope your right Dave and Santana get things turned around and be a real HOF candidate. I just don't see those necessary great years that get him over the hump. He can probably bounce back and be a good starting pitcher. Of course enough good seasons and he's around 200 wins.
  6. He needs more than two more good years before he's a sure hall of famer.
  7. Boyd isn't striking out nearly enough batters for Rookie league ball. 3 K's for Buxton. He's struggled so far in Elizabethton.
  8. Not a McCarver fan but I can't believe he would have said Clemente decided to quit at 3,000 hits. Unless he had some inside knowledge that Clemente was going to retire.
  9. subject to change. Hicks-Rochester Gibson-Rochester Benson-Rochester Arcia- New Britain. Sano-Ft Myers Rosario-Ft Myers Kepler-Beloit Vargas-Beloit. I'm only guessing this because he missed 50 games because of suspension. Walker-Beloit Michael-Ft. Myers. D. Santana-??? Having a solid year but not sure if it's good enough for New Britain. Buxton-???? He was promoted but I'm not sure if he plays at Beloit or stays in Florida to start the season. He could spend six weeks in Fort Myers and if he's progressing be sent to Single A. Berrios-Beloit.
  10. Berrios 5 ip 2 hits no runs and 11 strikeouts.
  11. He only had like 44 innings pitched last season. A bump up to even 160 ip is pretty high. Asking him to go over 200 innings seems excessive. Especially for a pitcher who had to have TJ surgery so soon after he turned professional.
  12. They do own KTWN. I believe one story mentioned the family wanting to sell the station. That might have changed with them airing Twins games. If that offer was still on the table could it be possible for Hubbard to buy a share of the station? They could move some or all of the on-air talent and turn KTWN into ESPN 96.3.
  13. ^Call up the Pohlad family and offer to buy their station.
  14. Fort Myers is really the forgotten affiliate of the 2012 season. Rightfully so with a bad record, bad offense, and no one having a stand out season. Next season should be different with Sano, and Rosario likely to be playing for the Miracle.
  15. I thought Tanner Boyd was suppose to have zip on his fastball? 2 K's in 4 ip tonight and only 27 in 41 innings pitched. Michael left the game for Fort Myers during his second at bat.
  16. Did something happen with Walters? Only 0.2 before leaving the game for Rochester?
  17. I'd be more concerned about the O's rushing Dylan Bundy to the majors. He's been promoted to AA after posting 2.98 ERA with 63 strikeouts in 54.1 ip in A+ league.
  18. Unless you're in close proximity why would anyone care?
  19. Al Newman was pretty awful.
  20. I can't believe no one's mentioned Wally Backman. A .591 OPS and OPS + of 63 and an ******* to make him even worse.
  21. I didn't think Rochester was interested in re-upping with the Twins?
  22. Rosario hit number 8.
  23. What cities are available in the South Atlantic league?
  24. Rochester and Toledo are in the Top of the 18th inning.
  25. Sean Burroughs might make more sense since he plays third base.
