One of those often discussed topics but all the good young pitching coming into the league got me wondering why it's been 34 years and Frank Viola since the Twins drafted a great starting pitcher. Like the old saying goes 'even a blind squirrel is right twice' yet the Twins haven't been right even once. The Twins haven't even had the 'what if' guy who looked great but blew out his arm and never recovered. That was Liriano and he was signed by the Giants originally. The hope is Berrios but he's not without concerns. -

He's not wrong about the four power arms. The Twins clearly expected at one of them to be in majors by August if not sooner. Chargois and Jones have been professional long enough that should be improving. -
He'd be an idiot not to have a no trade clause.

They haven't and that doesn't have to be a bad thing. It's outside the box hiring not seen since Andy MacPhail thirty years ago that the Twins need.

You're right and I do agree that Molitor should have walked away. Right or not arguing balls and strikes is a lose-lose situation.

If Walter Johnson is eligible and he was than there's zero excuses not to have him on the list. Not to sound callous but I'd rather baseball do something involving only living players. Call it "Living Legends' or 'Living Greats' for each franchise.

I'd like to see Revere on a contender but there's no place for him on the Twins.

The young power arms like Burdi from a raw numbers have been disappointing at best this season. Is there anything deeper into the numbers that think these guys are going to figure things out and be the future of the Twins bullpen?

I'm not someone who won't vote for someone on a losing team, so Dozier would probably be around 6th or 7th on my ballot.

I know there's some nice pitching talent at that level but how much of a drop-off will there be when guys like Buxton and Sano establish themselves in the major leagues?
